I liked the fact it was a lodge with my own door going out onto a small verandah. I had my dog with me and this was great for her to get out and in. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, also very dog friendly and made a fuss of Molly. Ian made sure we were happy with everything. Dogs were allowed into the bar area whic - Privacy to chalet and car parking at the door. Chosen as dog made welcome and access for exercise easy. Good freshly cooked food, good portions including an excellent choice for breakfast. Bed comfortable, en.suite and facilities for hot drinks. Have used again and will do so in future for one night stop over. We found the staff to be very helpful and the open fire in main building was a welcome sight in the cold weather.

The meals in the restaurant/bar were excell... what people say » ent as was the service. Overall a fantastic place to stay whether for one night, a few or several. - This property had been tastefully and sensitively restored. The room, en suite and restaurant were decorated to a very high standard. The room was a bit on the small side as was the ensuite but the superb décor took our minds off that. The restaurant offered very high quality cuisine and breakfast was plentiful and tasty.
