  I cannot rate this hotel enough. We stayed a few weeks ago after deciding to show some American friends our country. We drove down to Whitby from Lichfield and booked a two room aprtment at the resolution hotel. We got a very good deal on the room which made it amazing value for money! We stayed in a double room, which was beautifully decorated, very clean and extremely well stocked full of toiletries, drink making facilities, fan, hair dryer, safe etc The view was amazing!!! A gorgeous out look of the bay and the abbey over the roof tops of Whitby :) The staff were lovely and the breakfast was fabulous!!! 10/10 we would rec

  Everything! We truly felt that we were invited guests. From the moment we arrived Barry did everything he could, and then some, to ensure we were welcome. The personal welcome note, to the fire in the library with cocktails allowed us to unwind from our travels. We were left with the feeling of wanting to linger, to savor the experience. To spend a weeken - Everything about my stay at Goldsborough Hall was what I had hoped for and beyond what I expected. The house is beautiful and set in lovely grounds which are well worth a walk around. The room was spacious, comfortable and immaculate. The staff and owners were friendly and curteous. Every moment I was there I felt welcome and also that my satisfaction was the priority. Goldsborough Hall provides the country manor stay that you think you can only dream of. I will definitely be returning.

  We loved everything about Wombwell Arms, staff, locals and the surrounding area and other guests that were there at the same time as we were. All the staff were brilliant. Breakfast was particularly good, with an excellent full Yorkshire, or Whitby kippers on offer, fresh fruit, homemad - Friendliness of staff, courtesy, professionalism, cleanliness comfort and lovely food / dining. The themed decor throughout could almost be an attraction in itself (nothing of faded former glory days here). Altogether a most pleasurable holiday stay which would be equally suited to business purposes. A family business working together (and it shows) thoughtfully investing in the business to mutual benefit.

  Fantastic stay. on arrival we had been upgraded to one of the two bed luxury apartment, the booking agent had also taken into consideration the request for the quiet room which i was extremely grateful of. Extremely comfortable, and clean, I used to work as a housekeeper and i can honestly say I could not fault the cleanliness, perhaps on the chro... what people say » me in the bathroom could have done with some extra polishing, but that was minor and didn't affect our stay. All necessary details about arrival plus - I really cannot fault the apartment or locality it really was spot on for our needs. In particular, we bumped into the maintenance guy on the way in and he showed us where everything was and then the following day we wanted to store our luggage as we came on the train and one telephone call to yourselves and we left our luggage with the maintenance guy and came and collected later in the day. You went the extra mile to accommodate us and would highly recommend to anyone who is wishing to stay
