  From the moment we arrived we felt at home. The facilities exceeded our expectations. Breda and her staff were friendly and made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. This was the first time we had stayed in a guest house as opposed to a hotel and based upo - Great location, 5 minutes walk from Southgate shops, restaurants and Underground station. We ate a lovely dinner at Kye's restaurant which is in the opposite direction to the shops, 5 minutes walk away. The Oaks is is in a quiet location with friendly hosts, and it was a clean and well presented room.

The room we had was fabulous - they had taken note of what my husband had said on the booking form - that it was a birthday treat - and as a result we were upgraded, got a birthday card from the management and complimentary birthday patiserries.
