The Principal London is a Grade II listed landmark building that occupies the eastern flank of Russell Square in Bloomsbury. The lavish property boasts a striking terracotta exterior and luxurious contemporary designer interiors, and is within a short walk from Covent Garden, Fitzrovia and The British Museum. All rooms and suites have been completely redesigned to create a sense of modern luxury. They all feature free WiFi access and a Smart TV, along with a minibar and an en-suite bathroom with high-end toiletries. Guests have a wide variety of dining options on site, including Burr&Co., which is a casual coffeehouse by day and a wine bar by night. Guests can also relax with a drink in the lavish Fitz’s bar. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in Neptune restaurant and, beginning June 2018, afternoon tea can be enjoyed in the Palm Court. The hotel boasts a large ballroom for up to 300 guests, as well as eight additional meetings and events spaces. The Principal is just steps from Russel Square Tube Station and less than 1 mile from Oxford Street and the numerous theatres of the West End. King’s Cross, St. Pancras and Euston stations are all reachable in less than 10 minutes by car.

The Hotel Russell is in a great location, well decorated, clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and checking in and out was a breeze. Delicious breakfast and excellent serving times - up until 12.00 noon on a Sunday - Bliss! Russell Square tube station is a stone's throw away and taxis are passing constantly - all in all a great weekend!. the location was excellent..the room was really nice and had a large en suite bathroom,and overall was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was superb and the staff very helpful. If you order breakfast when you check in it is half price and you help yourself.

We paid a little extra for a park view room which was lovely! The Harrods voucher wasnt avaialable but we had a wonderful afternoon tea with champagne instead! All staff were courteous and helpful! No not really it is a shame there are no leisure facilities, a swim would have been nice!. The Harrods voucher never arrived. Instead we were offered a choice of things, we chose a bottle of champagne as none of the other offers, afternoon tea and money off the restaurant fitted into out plans. The bottle was in our room but once we'd opened it we noticed it was cava. It was a bit watery. My husband mentioned this whist waiting for me downstairs and it was replaced with champagne.Our booking included a £20 harrords voucher which we never got althoughwe did eventually get our bill discounted by £20 but some staff didn'tappear to know what was going on with our voucher and we had to ask forit and was promised it 3 times - once waiting 30 mins for it when theynever even had them ..... just feel they should have been betterprepared and met our reservation details. I am very happy with this hotel. Everything I responded, including breakfast but wonder why Lady of the reception which was Polish and saw my Polish passport is not me talking the language of Polish. Maybe this is the policy of the hotel that receptionists can only use the English language. For me, very strange!. The shower head sprayed everywhere. on booking requested a twin room,on arival was given a double and couldnt change as all the twin rooms were fully booked. Price of Breakfast!. Nothing in particular - full English breakfast extortionate at £19.50. Room we were given initially room very small. Breakfast was not as good as those at 2 other hotels we stayed in during the trip. Unable to store luggage more than one day. Having a window overlooking the street was great for the view of the park but a bit noisy traffic wise. Plumbing continues to be a problem the bathroom sink had a bad odour ( Imentioned this to front desk at checkout). Room quite small.
