  We Booked into the Glenesk hotel for just a few nights in February 2013 as I was viewing property in this lovely area, (which I luckily got) and reading the on-line reviews liked the look of it. This is actually a very hard review to write for me, I don't usually have that problem!! but will do my best as I enjoyed my stay so much it is hard to cr... what people say » iticise it. The Staff are GREAT, I did not meet one member of staff who was not First Class, from reception, the bar and restaurant nothing was too mu - From the moment of arrival, the welcome was amazing, they bent over backwards to ensure we were comfortable, well fed, and relaxed. Great staff, great feel, has to be one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in, and due to business, I stay in a lot of hotels! They really did have the personal touch! The rooms are spacious, and tastefully decorated, and spotless!, The food was stunning, and the bar well stocked with a variety of good wines, real ales and of course whiskey. The setting is quiet, p

  Was a bit wary given the bad reviews, but this was a fantastic experience. Lovely old castle with modern facilities, friendly staff, peaceful location with large grounds, huge beds, superb breakfast, and the gym and pool facilities were top class.   It's easy to get to when entering Aberdeen, we were upgraded to a newlyrefurbished executive room for free. We saved over £120 a night bybooking on the website! - the room was very spacious and the price was fantastic. the reception staff were very friendly and helpful

  The resort felt exclusive yet had a friendly atmosphere. The hotel has been refurbished to a high standard & felt luxurious.   This was our first holiday with our 9 month old baby son and we found all the staff were very friendly and welcoming towards us. The facilities were excellent and we very much enjoyed a relaxing time in the pool.
