    Great location in a small village, but with very easy access from the M6. The rooms were attractive and well equipped - the large fluffy bath sheets were a particular pleasure! Also loved the cool LEDs embedded in the mirror in the en suite which come on when you wave your hand underneath. Good local pub within easy walking distance for supper. - The welcome on arrival and also the ability to email the owner beforehand to check certain details and arrange to have breakfast early which was well cooked to our specification. The whole house was beautifully clean and fresh. We also had access to a guest lounge which proved useful. Very relaxing. We would not hesitate o book again.

    The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We really enjoyed our evening meal and thought that the food and wines were excellent value. Breakfast was also very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful.     We were upgraded to a junior suite which was lovely. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and there were touches of luxury such as the ample supply of Elemis toiletries in the bathroom and on the dressing table. The towels and bathrobes were white and fluffy and the bedding was Egyptian cotton.     First person we were greeted was the lovely Lucy! She couldn't have been more welcoming and was even concerned as I we arrived late. She showed us to our room personally, shut our curtains and left us to settle. She was very welcoming and it put a big smile on our faces after such a long journey from scotland! Breakfast: was delightful, continental we could help our - Everything about our stay was wonderful - this hotel definitely has the 'wow' factor. From the moment we arrived until when we checked out the staff were helpful and attentive. The public areas are beautiful and our room was spacious and comfortable. We dined in the hotel restaurant and found the food to be superb and reasonably priced. Breakfast next morning was also excellent. The location is also excellent being 15 mins from Chester. We are already planning our next stay!

    We found this a very friendly hotel to stay in. All the staff we met were excellent and made our stay very comfortable. One very small issue regarding the heating in the bedroom was solved immediately & with no fuss. The room was clean, large & well fitted. We ate in the attached Restaurant for both lunch & dinner and thoroughly enjoye... what people say » d our meals.
