    From the welcoming arrival we knew that this was going to be a really good hotel and we were not disappointed. The manager Craig was helpful and attentive and nothing was too much trouble and kindly upgraded us to a superior room on arrival. The ensuite was equally well appointed with a separate bath and shower (although we found the sh - La Haule Manor is impressive on first view. It is in a prime position along the seafront in St Aubins bay. The house is full of history and still privately owned. We were met on arrival with a glass of champagne. The manager could not do more for us & was extremely helpful whenever we had questions. He was there when my suitcase lock jammed, when another guest had tyre problems on his car & when a guest had a door lock stuck on her in the bathroom at midnight. Although only B&B that

    Right from the start, I was made to feel warmly welcomed and I was picked up from the airport on arrival which was a welcome change for a solo traveller. La Roche is a beautiful house and the room I stayed in was luxurious, clean and comfortable. They were really helpful about what to see and the best way of getting there. Breakfasts were - David and Jane were probably the friendliest and nicest B&B owners I've ever met. Had a nice long chat, they offered a glass of wine and they were very interesting people. The room was also very nice and clean. They really helped make my stay in Guernsey memorable and enjoyable.

    We stayed in one of the cottages which are of a very high standard. Decoration is attactive and there are some lovely touches; comfortable and stylish. Staff were helpful, responsive and kindly - without being intrusive. We were travelling with my elderly mother and aunt and the team at La Place made everything very easy for us. I travel a lot and I'm afraid I can be quite picky but have no hesitation in recomm - Fantastic stay at Hotel La Place, the staff were amazing and couldn't do enough to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We were picked up from the airport and upon arrival out bags and check in were taken care of while we enjoyed complimentary champagne in the bar! We were even lucky enough to have a free room upgrade to the newly refurbished Deluxe room which was beautiful.

    We have stayed at this hotel on many occasions. It never disppoints us. It is totally relaxing, the food is excellent and the general manager Mr Pedro Bento is the best host in the entire world. - In all respects a very pleasant experience

    The location is fabulous, overlooking St Brelade's bay with fabulous sea views. The hotel is luxurious and the service and food superb. What really made the hotel stand out though was the staff. This was borne out by the many - From first arrival to our departure nothing was too much trouble and all staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The view of the bay was stunning!!     The service was thoroughly professional and friendly. The hotel went beyond the call of duty to help resolve a room booking issue and I was impressed with the number of solutions available. Bus to airport stops outside and costs £1.70 :-) used dishwasher, washer etc and no problem with leaving your rubbish etc out and getting extra tabs.     Been close to the town centre. Bus from airport number 15 excellent service costing £1.70 per person takes you into town, follow the sign for (P. Pier Road) cannot get lost, getting to the apartment. Amanda was very friendly phoned on morning of departure,saying no need to hurry, leave when you are ready. The Royal Yacht Hotel restaurant very good... what people say » , just around the corner from the apartment. - I am a big fan of serviced apartments and enjoyed a great stay at Saco. Amanda on reception was really helpful, the apartment was clean and had everything you need for business travel - great facilities. The apartments were also really convenient for all the business and leisure areas of St Helier.

    What is there not to like? The staff are simply brilliant - it's really nice to be recognised and addressed by name. We had a great room with a sea view. The bars are very good as are the restaurants and yes you really must try the Governors Indian cuisine at its best!! We would definately not stay anywhere else on Guernsey, the whole ambience of the hotel was so relaxin - The hotel is in a truly stunning setting, looking out over a wooded gully, to the sea. Service was good, as was the food at both restaurants - it's well worth a trip to the Rock Garden for a few cocktails, too! Possibly the best hotel we've stayed at in Guernsey. Potential bookers should note that this is NOT in St Peter Port town but a rural location in the parish.
