This is no ordinary B & B but a century old pub situated in a quiet residential area, 5 minutes from the train station and 10 from the city centre, with friendly helpful staff and excellent food at a good price. The hotel was charming and inviting. The location was perfect for us. I was traveling with my daughter visiting another child that is taking a gap year and is in the Oxford Tutorial College. she was able to get to us and we got around the town wonderfully. The staff were all helpful and informative. The environment was cozy and warm which was greatly appreciated because the weather was chilly and wet. Would definitely recommend to others.

The staff welcomed us back for our 1st wedding anniversary with their friendly, courteus mannerm and a bottle of champagne in the room- we first stayed at The Old Bank last year ,having just got married, and they made our trip extra special by upgrading our room and again giving us champagne. We could not give higher praise for this quaint, yet modern B&B. We had a beautifully accommodated room with a wonderful view of the countryside, a modern private bathroom, teas, biscuits, and free secure wi-fi. The luxurious bed was like sleeping on a cloud - best rest we had since arriving in country. The complete English breakfast was perfect and the hosts are wonderfully cheerful and helpful. A great bargain for the experience and only 8-10 minutes to Oxford city-center.

I liked everything. I have stayed in 5 different hotels over the summer and none of them were anywhere near the standard of the Remont. It was not plush or luxurious but a place where i felt immediately at home . The beds were comfortable, the breakfast was really, really good. Nothing fancy just good quality and beautifully cooked. Very helpful owners who went out of their way to make our stay excellent. The room was very comfortable; breakfast was varied and generous. Really appreciated the central heating in the mornings and evenings and the exceptionally hot shower ! Close to city centre. We are in our 70sand we could walk there in 10 mins.
