Under new ownership since January 2015, this hotel offers basic hotel rooms, ideal for travelers on a tight budget as parts of the hotel are old and in need of refurbishment. Guests will receive a warm welcome, free parking, free Wi-Fi, and a free hot/cold breakfast (served from 6am on weekday mornings). There is a licensed refreshment bar and seating area which is open 24/7 and guests are welcome to have outside take-away meals delivered directly to their bedroom door. Some of the older rooms are dilapidated, but all rooms offer hot beverage facilities, modern flat-screen TVs and private toilet/washing facilities. The Stage Hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of Nottingham city Centre and the Lace Market area. Nottingham Royal Concert Hall is about 0.9 miles away, Motorpoint Arena is about 1.5 miles away, Queens Medical Centre is 3.0 miles away, and City Hospital is 1.6 miles away.

The friendliness of staff - nothing was too much trouble. the breakfast and the friendliness of the management.The location is perfect for nipping into the City center, a taxi will cost around £5, and it is well worth the price. The hotel are very friendly and accomodate you whenever they can. The staff is very friendly and i also liked the fact that we were allowed access to the bar even after midnight.

I did not rate the food it was very poor, if a chef cooked it, wouldnt think he would admit it. breakfast was good....Easy Booking and the room was comfortable - full English Breakfast as opposed to Continental,. Bed was quite comfortab le. Friendliness of staff. The proximity to the town.The Stage Hotel did not have any ground floor room available so they booked me into the Commodore Hotel, on Nuthall Road. So this information applies to the Commodore Hotel and not The Stage Hotel. We were disappointed with the accommodation and the service. The bin was not empied, nor the towel change. My disable collegaue had breakfast in the bedroom and the plate was left in the room all day. Friendly staff. It was less expensive than the central hotels and the centre was easily accessible by public transport. Reasonable breakfast - good service when dining.the lady was lovely. We were glad to leave. We enjoyed the peace and quiet once the drunks in the next room stopped yelling at 2 am. We were pleased we didn't get a disease from the mouldy shower but that was only because we didn't have a shower as there was no hot water.See below. Only the fact that breakfast was not served until 8.30am on Saturdaysand Sundays which meant, as I was working a long day, insufficientbreakfast on Saturday. This was a problem for 6 other guests too.The only thing to complain about would be that the shower in room 207 does not regulate its temperature,its permanently hot!!!. the shower temperature didnt work. The only thing i will have to say, i hope this hotel is going through a refurbishment as it is in a bad way.... the breakfast room was the best... hotel was fine only problem we encounted was the lack of hot water in bathroom. 5 channels on the tv?. Was a little like a youth hostel, but fine for a cheap night in Notts, when you know you wont be the room too long!. since i am a vegetarian, the breakfast choice was very limited. Bathroomm tiles were mouldy and loose, toilet seat loose. We was not expecting very much as the hotel was cheap but we did not get a choice of evening meal there was on hot water in the room only cold and the breakfast we received was of very poor quality. The bathroom was very dirty and the fixtures and fittings were tatty.Yes the bin could have been emptied. the hand basin needed replacing because it was crack. And of course change the towels and remove the dirty plate. Interior decoration very run down, strong smell of tabacco in the room, uncomfotable bed, noise from the road. In serious need of refurbishment...Beds were clean but the rest of the room and hotel generally was tatty.Tv in room did not have bbc 1, no remote control. The dining room wasfreezing cold for breakfast. Room was dirty, net curtain was very dirty, no hot water for ages, verynoisey in the middle of the night with people shout banging andgenerally being loud. hotel in very poor conditon as were the rooms and facilities. The carpets and walls were filthy. No wi-fi. No fresh fruit at breakfast. The hotel was full of DSS people including noisy and vulgar youths. My room was next door to a Dss family with a baby making lots of noise. I had been forced to pay in full on arrival so didn't feel that I could leave without losing my money. location was not clear... not city centre at all.The hotel does not have much going for it, i won't list all the bad points as i'd be here all day but i certainly wouldn't stay there again. We did not like the fact that we had to pay for this hotel. We stayed at other hotels for the same price and they were not fancy but they were clean. Try to find another hotel - try very hard. If this is the only hotel available then go to another town.1. on arrival our rooms were double booked.2. The rooms were dirty and untidy. 3.No hot water available from 6pm at night. 4.rooms not made up or towels changed. 5.I asked for early breakfast which was not supplied and the breakfast for the correct time had gone off milk with the juice and food left out overnight. I have used your service many times and never experenced this problem before.

Currently rooms are basic and in some are in need of refurbishment. The facility is half way through a two-year refurbishment and upgrading program which is due to complete in July 2017 and which some guests might find a little disruptive. The hotel offers 'free cancellation to all guests who choose not to stay' (provided they check-in before 18:00). However please note that the hotel will not offer any discount or refund to guests who have stayed and not registered a complaint with the management/reception desk. Check-in after 20:00 is possible for an additional fee, subject to availability and by prior arrangement.
