The Langtry Rooms have a good location, close to the heart of the city and all it has to offer. All of the en suite rooms are finished to a high standard, with TVs, hairdryers and tea/coffee. The Langtry Brasserie and Bar is just opposite and offers international favourites and classic dishes, along with a great wine list. Reception is also based at the Langtry. With a good location, comfortable accommodation and free parking, the Langtry Rooms are an excellent base, whether you are exploring Norwich for pleasure or visiting on business.

We stayed in Beeches KLodge apartments - very nice, clean and spacious, however our booking was for the hotel and on arrival found theur details of the booking to be for later in the week - graduation week and everywhere was full - gave us a few moments of panic but they moved us to the apartments for the same price - no complaints. Staff were very friendly, and the room was absolutely fantastic being a good size with excellent furnishings. Bathroom was clean and had a good shower, which is often a rarity with many hotels. Very reasonable price, and excellent value for money. Also good location within the city and easy to find, free parking was also useful.

Door knob came off the room door.i needed to check out at 5:00 Am and the 24 hour reception desk was vacant for a long period of time and the door to reception was locked. Would have liked a smoking room but told only 2 available andboth taken.The mattress in room 34, well past its use by date.......... The water heater is not clean. Room a bit on the small side. TV was tiny with no remote control / In my room on this ocassion there was no in-house information at all i.e. where to eat / breakfast times etc. I would - despite the above - continue to stay at The Beeches whenever working in that area of Norwich. The only negative side was the noise of the road and of people coming in an out in the early morning slamming doors. The shower had a bit of limescale and was therefore not as powerful as it should of been. asked if i wanted a morning paper, didnt deliver when requested then tried to charge me for un delivered papers.....communication problem obviously !!!. A few of the showers/shower-heads need attention. (I have stayed in the hotel many times and seen a lot of the rooms). lack of additional amenities found in large hotels, such as a swimming pool. very small tv in a large room. Fire alarm at 9 30 on sunday am. No apology just "oh it was only the toaster!" after we had all got out!!!.

Travelling information

From the a11, go straight over At roundabout and proceed until dual carriageway makes one lane. Take first left into Unthank Rd. Proceed to traffic lights and go straight over, and again at next set of lights. You will see a row of shops, followed by The Lilly Langtry Pub on your left hand side. The Beeches Lodge is opposite. Turn right onto Essex Street and immediately right again for entrance into the car park.
