We got a fantastic deal for the room through letsbookhotel.com paying £70 for the night. However, I do not think the usual price at £110 is good value for money. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and in an excellent location being only a short distance from the town centre. Easy to get to & not far from Silverstone Race Track where my daughter was running the 1/2 marathon. The Leisure facilities were very good & we all enjoyed a good swim in the pool. Breakfast was fantastic! Will stay again next year for the 2014 Half Marathon. Exceptional staff a faultness evening despite 200 people, all of the staff went the extra mile for me, so impressive well done to you all. I was particularly impressed with reception and the staff running the restaurant exceptional, will be back again for sure. The hotel is like a country-side hotel. Good possibilities for business events and seminars. Good food, friendly and professional staff. We enjoyed swimming-pool and sauna after a long flight and could continue out tour to Bedfordshire next day. THANK you!. I requested an upgrade or complimentary wine etc as it was my partner's 50th birthday that weekend and on both days of our stay we had complimentary wine and chocolate in our room - a very nice touch, thank you! We had to ask for dressing gowns and slippers which should have already been provided in the room but they were brought to us straight away and we also had to ask for accompaniments to our meals which should have come with it i.e. bread rolls with the soup and pappodums with the curry. Some of the other guests were a little noisy when walking down to their rooms at 1am in the morning, but otherwise no problems. nothing to not like. Only niggle was there was only 2 cups for tea in our double double room, where 3 of us were staying. nothing the only thing we didn't like was having to go home!. Pillows too soft Lack of long mirror in room Insufficient mirrors in room. Lack of individual lights over beds TV reception could have been better. The sound proofing was poor. I was next to a stairwell and corridor and as the average Brit has no manners and no consideration for other guests, I was awoken every hour throughout the night until 3am when partygoers made their way to bed. The hotel should not rely on polite notices to guests but should beef up the sound proofing and find a way of quietening closing fire doors. Suite was a little dated. The swimming pool area was far to hot,the male changing room could do with changing cubicles instead of a central changing area.some things should remain private!!!. I was sure that my booking included a breakfast, which I discovered not to be the case on arrival. However this could have been my mistake at the point of booking. I remember this hotel being opened in the 80's and it's now looking old-fashioned and drab as it's not been updated. Had trouble finding it in the dark. We had to ask for directions at the Holiday Inn Express. Maybe it's easier in daylight. Would have liked 2 shower/bath washes (1 each). Could have air con. £15 per day wifi in the room. Really? These days? Should be free just like everywhere else. Location bad and very poorly sign posted. The price of drinks in the bar and the astronomical prices of room service. 3 of us stayed in room but only 2 cups provided - asked for another but didn't appear. Drinks provisions not replaced for our 2nd night; fortunately husband doen't have many hot drinks! Didn't use bar or restaurant or room service but noticed high prices! Location near m1 and link road led to traffic noise. No free Wi Fi. Would have been nice if wifi and water in room had been complimentary - especially as there was no thermostat and room was particular warm. No air conditioning in room. Restaraunt was a little expensive. The food was nice but over priced!! I went out to eat for half the price ,kids mucking about in the jaquzzi. Not good!!! Wen yr trying to relax :(. Taxis only as no Public Transport close by. nothing. Low water pressure and only luke warm. Couldnt fill a bath. Having to pay for it!!. £15 per day to use internet.Will only use hotel if can't get somewhere else. Don't liked being ripped. Free internet would have had three more bookings already?. nothing. Thought £4.30 for a small cappuccino extortionate!. Drunken people wandering round from wedding reception, shouting down the corridors into the early hours, slamming doors and threatening to fight other wedding guests outside the hotel. Attitude of staff. Not rude actually did their job but even a smile would have gone a long way . strange complaints from a pool user about kids in the pool ! Staff handled it well.
