Chris and Sally were the perfect hosts, they are an extremely lovely couple. Our stay was made very comfortable, our room was cleaned daily and the breakfasts were second to none, the circular breakfast table encouraged all the residents to chat and get to know each other and exchange their views on places to visit and eat. Chris in particular had a good knowledge of Newquay and advised us of places to eat and see, particularly the park and ride facility which allowed us to enjoy superb view. all reviews »
In a good position near to the beach. The bedroom was nicely decorated and very homely. Chris & Sally were great host who made you feel welcome. The breakfast was excellent and sharing the breakfast table with the other guest was enjoyable this allowed you to get to know them and share knowledge and experience of Newquay and surrounding areas. We would highly recommend Cormorant House.
Me and my partner stayed hear for four nights ..the couple were lovely and made it feel like home to home , they had a lovely dog and a beautiful home,one of the brightest cleanest and most friendly places I have ever stayed and they done a wonderful breakfast which I think my partner took full advantage of , we would love to come and stay again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cormorant House which is conveniently placed only a short walk from the beach & town. Our room was light & airy with a seaside feel & we were particularly impressed with the attention to detail! We were made to feel very welcome & would definitely stay there again.
My wife and I stayed at Cormorant House for three nights at the end of March 2013 and we enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Chris & Sally our hosts were very welcoming, friendly and helpfull making our stay very relaxed. The entire house was kept spotlessly clean and the breakfast was supurb!.
Friendly, helpful hosts, comfy bed, lovely room and ensuite with a bath as well as a shower, excellent breakfast, round table at breakfast shared by all guests, quiet and relaxing atmosphere and location but within walking distance of beaches, restaurants etc. Would return and fully reccommend.
You are made very welcome and the owners can not do enough to ensure you have a fabulous break/ holiday. Luxury white towels and bed linen, airy rooms and the en-suite (external for our room) was spotlessly clean. We would definitely book again and recommend to others.
We loved our stay. Our room was comfortable and spacious and well equipped. The full English breakfast was first class and there was always, fruit, cereal, toast and preserve's available. Our host's could not have been more friendly and helpful.

Great friendly hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them, they even gave my wife a card, chocolates and flowers as it was her birthday during our stay. Good food for breakfast, well worth a visit.

If i have to make any negative comments then it would be that it could get a little noisy occasionally in the mornings but this just initiated us to get up and showered ready for breakfast at 8.30am. We are very light sleepers and it probably wouldn't be a problem for most people.

The only very small negative was that the tiny hand basin in the non suite bedroom we had wasnot fit for purpose. If a way can be seen around this minor issue I can honestly say that I could find NO fault with this guest house!.
Room was just a tiny bit on the small side, not a big issue but ensuite was spacious.
The WiFi in our room did not have a strong enough signal but the signal was always strong in the very comfortable lounge area which was always available.

Despite the perfection of the lodgings , it needed to and was a perfect base for visiting the rest of the area , because Newquay was dated , dirty , and full of stag/hen does , the town needs a total face lift.
