  The location was lovely. Beautiful grounds. We really liked the bedrooms being in a separate area and having our own front door to enter our bedroom- very nice outlook from our front window -overlooking a green field and lake.- so no corridor noise like a usual hotel. Excellent bedrooms with en suite. I've guessed! The stay was fabulous. Chai was incredible. He ran around and answered to all our family orientated needs. The hotel was busy, but not loud in the slightest - a feat considering there were back to back weddings, golfing guests and lots of young families. Breakfast was great. Good value too. Would definitely stay again.

  Second time staying at this hotel, and again not disappointed, we requested the room we previously stayed in and got it. The room was lovely with a lovely view the bed was huge and bedding crisp white sheets. We went for a relaxing breaki and got it. We did'nt eat our main meal at the hotel, from reading previous reviews its a bit hit and miss.... what people say » - The staff very friendly and helpful to all guests, breakfast wasexcellant, overall good value for money.

  Very friendly staff! We dropped off our bags on the way to Highclere. When we returned the bags were in our room and we checked in quickly. Its a good idea to arrange with your taxi to come back to Highclere to pick you up. We had a great dinner and breakfast the next day at the White Hart.   The hotel and room were really clean and well presented, in particular the enclosed "beer garden" with heaters were a very welcome addition to the hotels facilities. I didn't stay long enough to form an opinion on the staff but from the short time I spent there the staff came across as very amiable and helpful. I would certainly recommend The Bell... what people say » to family and friends. - The rooms were clean and comfortable, even if British sinks tend to be a little small. The staffers with whom we had most of our dealings, Vlad and Fillippe, were most courteous and helpful. By our second day they remembered what we liked and prepared it promptly. And of course we liked George. How could you not?
