The manager here is excellent - really knowledgable about the local area, helpful in his advice and relaxed and friendly. The building is historic and the location stunning. A hidden gem on the West side of the lakes.

A very good location to be at.
I slipped on the floor of the shower room and hurt my leg quite badly - the surface was very slippery and I suffered knee and ankle ligament damage.
This wasn't great as I was about to cycle off to Paris from London....

The older people - that now dominate 'youth' hostels - tend to get their early and make sure they get the best beds in the dormitory...
Our friend slept on the sofa because they overbooked.
