The staff were really helpful - Clair was really nice and willing to help and she was interested in us too. We really enjoyed the location and even though it was on a busy roundabout, the garden and hotel are well placed so you did not even realize it was there.
Spotlessly clean. Comfy beds and pillows. Although near to the main road it was very quiet. Helpful and friendly staff. There was even a fan in the room which was much appreciated due to the hot weather. Easy access for the main roads and Cardiff etc.all reviews »
Easily accessible direct road links to the location.Staff were smiley,friendly,obliging,and nothing seemed to be a problem for them.In all, my wife and I had a very enjoyable stay.
The beds were very comfortable,and the rooms quite spacious.
Very friendly welcome everywhere was cleaned to a high standard.we ate next door food excellent very friendly staff,then we relaxed in the gardens whilst grandson played football with other children.
Good-sized room which was clean, well decorated, and of the right temperature (unusual for hotels). Decent restaurant on-site, which also hosts the breakfast service (good breakfast, by the way).
Everything we needed for our one night stay to visit sick relatives in the area. Staff were friendly and more than helpful. Breakfasts excellent. Very reasonably priced.

We had to drive around the roundabout a couple of times as we found it difficult to see the usual Premier Inn sign. This is (I understand) a running battle with the Council as there is a Listed building which prevents a sign being erected.
We were happy with our overall stay.

The hotel is hard to find, because there is virtually no signage to it. It is set back off the main road so you can hardly see it.

Restaurant in poor decorative state. Very Dark interior. Restaurant food only midiocre apart from breakfast.
The only criticism I had was that we were near the hall door and it was a little noisy until people finished using it and settled in their rooms.
My room was next to reception- it was noisy every time.
The menu was reduced ,3 items were not available on the evening menu.At
breakfast we were told there were muffins available because they
hadn't been taken out the previous evening, however the cooked
breakfast was first class and excellent value for money.
Incredibly difficult to find,-could actually see it at one point, but could find no way of entering the grounds.

Carpet wasn't cleaned properly - there were several chewing gums on it. Smell in the room was bad. Water pressure in the bathroom was very low and made very difficult to have a shower.
the room temp was set at 25 which was ridiculous in summer.We tried in vain to ADJUST IT BUT COULD NOT.

Why so hot. Mild outside but every radiator on full. Tried to cool the
room but this did not work. Forget all the duvets and blankets. I had to
try an sleep naked on top of the blanket.
Main building was in some disrepair.

No reception on phone , after paying for wifi there was a problem with supply and so was uncontactable , which was a pain.
The hotel needs a bit of a facelift.
Roudy Room next door to mine making lots of noise and moving furniture and jumping around the room till 2am.
Not clearly signposted from the road. Sat Nav takes you past the main
entrance and quite awkward to get back to it. Maybe there should be a
note of this on the website when booking.
The bathroom hadn't been cleaned properly, there was pubic hair
left in the bath tub, dirty sink with tooth paste marks, upstairs
guests were very noisy and we could hear everyone walking past the room
as the floor creaked.
