The staff were friendly and easy to talk to, the room was clean and well presented and very well priced,. Food excellant and staff very friendly. Good bed, nice comfortable room. Service I received,. Good service, polite and helpful, central location. We were unable to return to the hotel until late, but the staff were happy to make sandwiches which we pre ordered for our return. Even though it was close to midnight when we returned we had a very good selection of sandwiches and with the bar being open it ended our day very nicely.

The wi-fi worked well and is cheap for a Hotel,. I liked the fact that I was only there one night!!. A lot of noise. It was a party until 1 o'clock, i couldn't sleep well. The breackfast finish at 9 o'clock. to be honest it was a wonderful experience and i wouldn't change it. Breakfast was all right - not great! They had no fresh fruit for breakfast. Wooden Floor in Bedroom plus heating turned off in morning before we checked out. No warning that the bath floor could be slippery or any handles to help you in and out of the bath saftely. My only other critisim would be the time taken to replace items at breakfast (Coffee, tea, orange juice etc) May I suggest that it might be more economical to have a buffett style breakfast, we have travelled extensively in europe and this seems to be a more popular and cheaper way.Lack of information from staff, carpet grubby in bedroom. The staff seemed surprised that we came and were kind and very helpful the first day. The following two days we felt that they were less acomodating.Smell of tobacco in the bedroom. the rooms need a good hoovering. They allowed winos in bar and there was fighting in room next door. The decor was very dated and tired looking throughout the hotel. I booked a suite and it didn’t look like it had been decorated since the 80’s and there was mould around the bath. The room was advertised as having satellite TV but there was only one free to air channel available (eurosport). The heating system was very noisily and woke me up at 5am on both nights that I stayed at the hotel.Evening meal Pork Au Poivre...sliced processed pork swimming in an abundance of peppercorn sauce. Expected a pork steak of some description...not very nice. Breakfast just as bad. Cheapest foul tasting sausage and fattiest bacon I've ever come across. I won't be going there again. dirty and uncomfortable.
