If your looking to stay in a 5 star hotel, this is not it. But for the tariff, this hotel is a little gem in Manchester. The staff were very helpful the continental breakfast was very good. Rooms were clean and adequately supplied with tea and coffeee making facilties. The hotel was within walking distance of the "Curry Mile" with easy access into the city centre by public transport. Lovely place, 4 miles from the town centre.Plenty of buses to the town centre. Big and clean room. Complimentaru fair trade coffee, tea,chicolate. In the clean big bathroom there were even body lotions! Breakfast rich and plentiful. A real bargain for this price. I will go again!.
all reviews » There wasn't anything I dsliked, it was lovely, food was good and service was excellent (all staff). It was very easy to access from the centre and was friendly clean and had everything I needed for my visit. Location in city. Availability of Car Parking. Courtyard. Facilities - we had 6 singers in our party and were grateful to be able to use the chapel for a late evening rehearsal.Good and friendly service by staff, excellent cooking (I had one eveningmeal "in" during my stay, quiet location but easily reached from a veryfrequent bus service. There was a real sense of caring about the place. The price was amazing for a city centre hotel and although the room was basic, it was clean and comfortable.The food in the hotel was excellent along with the staff who all went out of their way to be friendly and very helpful, this is somewhere I would stop again. A good size single room with all facilities on hand. I would recommend this place to anyone wishing to saty near the centre of Manchester. It is easily accessible to buses. As previous reviewers have commented, some rooms have very noisy plumbing but it didn't bother us.No shower only bath. No. noisy. Man at reception during most of our stay was not at all customer friendly but the woman who was on duty on arrival was. This was the sole negative during our visit,. Sadly hot water to tap and shower was lukewarm. Would have preferred breakfast to start earlier. I did not like the fact that the staff entered our room once after knocking just once and not waiting for a resonse. Then entering the next day without knocking at all. This was unexpected and very rude and inconsiderate. that they only did continential breakfast.bed very uncomfortable, did not get a good nights sleep and nothing on tv to watch whilst not being able to sleep. My room was near to a boiler and it banged in the night.The internet connection was not working whilst I was there. Plumbing can be a bit noisy.
