    the hotel was superb, the room was very much a 'country house' style and was one of the nicest hotel rooms that I have stayed in. The breakfast was freshly cooked using local produce and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our only regret was that we didn't have the opportunity to sample the restaurant. - We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. O... what people say » ur room was really gorgeous, comfortable, warm and cosy. The food was exceptional. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel has been very tastefully decorated, the whole stay was absolutely brilliant!

    Everything! The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was huge - more of a suite really - and was very comfortable. The pub itself was cosy and welcoming and it was nice to have the choice of eating in the restaurant or in the bar.We stayed 3 nights and ate at the hotel every evening - the food was very good and local produce was used. Breakfa... what people say » st was huge and kept us going through long walks on Dartmoor which was literally on the doorstep. We would definitely stay there again. - This was a really well run and looked after inn. The very friendly and helpful staff made the stay enjoyable. This is well worth considering as a base from which to visit the surrounding area or as a stop off on your journey. It is close to the Granite way cycle trail and would be a good staging point on the Devon Coast to Coast
