We'd just been to Paris and there were no dressers for our clothes there, but there was lots of room at the Copthorne Tara to put our things away so we didn't feel we were living out of a suitcase. The beds were really comfortable and just the right size for 2 people. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Having a 'guest service' desk is so helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
all reviews » Clean, modern, welcoming and comfortable hotel in the heart of Kensington (and just a short cab ride from Earls' Court, so convenient for exhibitors and visitors alike). Excellent Singaporean/Malaysian restaurant (Bugis Street) and good brasserie and bar snacks.On arrival, we were upgraded to Club Rooms, which was very nice. Hotel is in great location and easy to find bearing in mind we travelled by car from Co Durham.. the position of the hotel was the key, handy for most sights, and the hotel was airy and bright, lovely reception area and great parking.Friendly staff. Close to the underground which was handy for siteseeing. Great food served in the bar and restuarant. We had a technical problem at the room that made us unable to use the coffee-maker as well as regulate the lights properly on the first night. This was immediately fixed when reported to the management.I did not like the lounge. I did not find it comfortable and easy to relax in. The tables and chairs are not right for the souroundings. noise from the outside, not full tea service. A long wait for food at the bar , but it was busy. breakfast expensive. For such a large hotel, there could be a bigger business service facility with another few computers. Car park was expensive.Slightly noisy with tube line so close. Rate a bit high. where have all the great doormen gone?. funny smell in the corridors. Long queue and wait to be seated at breakfast time. Some noise from adjacent bedroom (TV) and tube line( behind the hotel) in the early morning. The furniture in the bedrooms could do with updating and our kettle didn't work. We stayed in room 231.
