Ardwyn is an artistic guest house built in the early 1900s. It has a creative atmosphere with plenty of arts and crafts. There are Art Nouveau touches around the house, from the rolltop baths to the light fittings. The bedrooms have double-aspect views, stylish designs and good bathrooms. There is a library/snooker room with comfy chairs and many books. The Royal Welsh Show Ground is a 20-minute drive away, and Llanwrtyd Wells is great for walking and mountain biking. Ardwyn House also has the Bronfelin Holiday Cottage available for rent, just a short walk from the house.

On arrival there was a friendly and warm welcome from the hosts Roger & Katy with tea and cake (home made). The rooms were well decorated well apportioned and very comfortable. The breakfast was very good and the whole experience was very pleasurable just like staying with friends. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts and was run with a friendly relaxed attitude but also with true professionalism. A joy to stay at and would certainly return.

Our room was gorgeous with a lovely big bath and good quality toiletries. The pub in town was unique, and had a nice feeling being full of locals. This is the only guest house we have ever stayed, where we were welcomed with a pot of tea and some excellent lemon drizzle cake (expertly made by Roger) We will defininitely be back soon!. The warm and very personal welcome, the stunningly restored house which exuded the charm of a more gracious era. Library and wood fire, comfy bed and bath, perfectly cooked breakfast with local ingredients and most of all, lovely hosts who care deeply about the guest experience. Beautiful house furnished in Art Nouveau style. Roger and Katie are a lovely couple and fantastic hosts. Lots of home made cake and home made veggie sausages. Very good value for money.
