Three Wells Hotel is situated on the edge of the Radnor Hills, in the heart of Wales. It has a large restaurant with views over its own private, tranquil lake. Food is locally sourced, and some fruit and vegetables are home-grown. Guests can also enjoy a lounge bar with a range of food and drink, and a fantastic cooked breakfast in the morning. A number of picturesque walks lead from the hotel’s door to nearby Llandrindod Wells. An 18-hole golf course and the town’s rail station can be reached in around 10 minutes by car. Rooms at the Three Wells all have carpeted floors and TVs for guests to use. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building, and there is space for 15 cars in the free off-road car park.

The location is beautiful and peaceful and the staff were friendly and charming. We stayed in the Premier Suite (Room 14) with stunning views overlooking the small lake to the front from the bedroom and the paddock/fields with horses and sheep to the side from the sitting room. The welcome basket is a fantastic idea and we were most glad and grateful for this, it made for a special start to the stay. Excellent thought given to the little extras from the toiletries to the hair dryer and hot wate.

I really liked the flexibility, when I said I would like to have dinner, immediately I was offered a table outside in the beautiful weather, overlooking a lake and farmland. The staff were terrific, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were outstanding! I had made a mistake with the dates on the online booking and the staff were fantastic. They put me at ease, managed to sort out a room for myself and husband and rang a nearby B&B to find a room for our daughter. And the food was excellent, fresh, local and obviously cooked by someone who loves balancing tastes. Cleanliness of the hotel as a whole. Rural setting was superb. Very spacious rooms. Very friendly staff. Dining room overlooking the lake was beautiful, especially with a good covering of overnight snow. The perfect place for waking up on my 50th birthday :-). Having stayed in Room 14 previously the furnishings in Room 14 are of less modern appearance in comparison with how nice Room 16 looks. Room 14 could have the benefit of a coffee table in the lounge area rather than a dresser unit and the sofa in Room 14 is not as comfortable as the one in Room 16. Waited almost an hour for a table in the restaurant even though there was only a party of eight already dining. Not a real problem as was in no hurry and was kept informed of the delay which is very refreshing these days. No curtain/blind on bathroom window!. The fire door made entering our room (number4) difficult! A minor quibble. nothing!!!!!!!. I could not find anything to complain about. It was very hot and it would have been good to have a fan in the bedroom. I do appreciate that we do not have this weather very often. Nothing. Nothing. Shower not good enough. Menu for evening meal rather limited. WiFi not workiing and unable to watch Tour de France on tv. weather wasn't great, but who do you blame for that?. I, being picky, would have liked a variation in the meals offered. When one stays for a week. But really nothing to report. Nothing. No downside. Felt the person on duty monday was doing everything alone. Did not seem to have kitchen staff or bar staff and was trying to cover everything. Bar not cosy. Leaving. Noise from next bedroom - able to hear people talking clearly. Nothing. It was a bit too quiet on the day we were there. French window didn't open onto patio - real bummer. poor coffee in room, breakfast service a bit slow. Little bit difficult to find and get to. A minor point, but V quiet location...and could hear other guests conversations in their rooms.... Unless you are a good walker you need a car, which we had. Bittle in the middle of nowhere. selection of wines was limited and of poor quality with no tasting notes. I could have gone to Tesco's or even ordered direct from a vineyard in France for £10 a bottle and got better and the Hotel could even make on decent margin on top of those prices. I dont mind paying restaurant prices as long as the wine is of decent quality. The washhand basin is in a different room to the toilet and shower. We thought in the refurbishment this would have been rectified. Bathroom tired. Mobile signal intermittent but not really an issue. Bathroom badly in need of updating, pathetic shower.
