  Nice check in experience - after asking staff about our welcome bottle of wine it arrived on ice to our room within minutes. An excellent way to start a night out. Room service was reduced by 25% between 3 and 5pm so had some food too. King Prawn Ceasar salad was great. Don't expect a great river view unless you have paid extra, perfect location... what people say » for all the main tourist activities in London. - Room was very clean and comfortable. The concierge was extremely helpfulin helping us with transport to the airport, as well as with suggestionsfor a nice restaurant. The kitchen is also very good. It was the besthotel that I've ever stayed at in London.

  The staff on reception were exceptionally helpful on our arrival and allowed us to check in 3 hours early and parked the car for us. We had just arrived from a business night in the Intercontinental Park Lane and taking away the fancy veneer in the room the City Inn was every bit as good (if not better). - Liked the fact that all the little extras ... what people say » were in the room and included in price (apart from prices for the mini bar) ie: free internet access, iron/ironing board, hairdryer, bath robes, mini bar, basket of goodies. There is also a fantastic cocktail bar and restaurant on site and amazing views. - City inn was absolutely brilliant. Clean and spacious,the room even had a Thames view. There was a computer in the room and broadband was free. I wish I had known about the complimentary tea/coffee/cakes which were out of view in a cupbord in the room and I only found out later when booking out.

  All the staff were friendly, (even though it was a big modern hotel)they were courteous and very helpful.   We were very impressed with the facilities. Quite often although a hotel claims to have a gym and pool they rarely offer the sort of quality found at this Novotel. The location was great - Southwark tube is 2 minutes away, St Paul's cathedral is a 15 minute walk and although the location is pretty central, we did not find the area too busy at all.... what people say » There were some nice places to eat near by - cooked breakfast for under a £5 in London! and a great food stall just up the road that serves homemade, - Especially friendly and helpful staff in total, but these 3 persons need an award: the very friendly mechanic who repaired the sink stop in a couple of minutes, the manager of the restaurant on 23.04./24.04.name: Iliantor ? the manager at the reception : Salem the location is fantastic, Globe,Tates, OXO,Thames cruises, tube, all in very short walking distance, was perfect for us! quiet room, nice design very delicious English breakfast in total: we will come again and also recommend this hotel
