Was close to bars and restuarants,main shopping centre and retail park were 2 mins walk away, excelant quality for the price. The ease of getting around it was very central. friendly staff. good access for my reason to be there. this hotel was basic but great value for money.its beside the train station and asda 24hour shop.it was very clean and the microwave was a god sent after a night out.the transfare from the airport was great.hope to go back at easter.thanks andy and staff for a great weekend. all reviews »
Staff friendly and courtesy bus. large room, close to station, friendly reception. Clean, large room and breakfast was very good. We also appreciated that the baby cot was free of charge. We contacted Andy in advance because we were arriving late and he made all the necessary preparations for our arrival.Great Value for money. Arrived after 7pm and had to call a number to get a code for the door entry, interesting, glad I had a phone with me!! Room was adequate and the breakfast was great! Breakfast staff very friendly. Its convenience and price.Locallity. toilet wouldnt flush properly, 10am is quite an early deadline for check out also.The heaters were on a timer through the night and the room stayed VERY cold. Sufficient bedding was provided, but our baby was cold since she is too little to sleep with blankets by herself. I ended up having to put her in the bed with me to keep her warm. This would not be an issue if staying here in the summer, but if it is cold and you have small children, I don't recommend this place. We had to phone a mobile number which was posted on the inside door to be given the code to access the hotel itself as it was not staffed at all.I have been in better BandB's at a similar price, but would not condemn this establishment which was on a par with many. Some refurbishment would make the rooms more attractive. At Breakfast, the bread left out for making toast was totally black with mould. Room needs decorating as a matter of urgency.Arriving in the dark at an unstaffed hotel and having to ring a mobile phone No. to get an access code. No heating.
