We had a very enjoyable stay. The room was spotless and the staff were friendly. Had a super breakfast in a very pleasant dining room. The hotel is perfectly located and quite close to the beach. The price was very reasonable in comparison to others in the area. Would definitely stay here again.
I can honestly say I have never stayed at a friendlier place it is family run with everyone taking an interest in your visit.
The breakfast is made to order and of a very good standard.

Enjoyed a lovely time. We were greeted with a smile and nothing was a too much trouble for the staff. The whole hotel was imaculate, food was great. Definately returning in the future.
The lodge was very good value with an excellent breakfast and pristine room. the location was just right and Gorleston is a charming place with a fantastic beach.
The staff were very friendly, efficient and welcoming. The meals were good and plentiful.
Hopefully will return in the future.
The personal welcome as we arrived and the friendly banter! All staff were friendly and helpful! A goos stop-off point.
We loved being able to have the dog with us and talking to the friendly staff and the bar was a bonus.

Sign at front of house said stairlifts to all floors.NOT TRUE!!Was allotted room on 2nd floorIt would have been nice to have the lady apologise for mistake accept that WE DID apply for lift or ground floor instead of suggesting that we had not done so was clearly on booking form. The room was very clean and breakfast was always served very quickly.

The bed wasn't very comfortable but i think it's always like that wherever you go. No bed is the same as your own!.

No hot water in bathroom in the morning and it did seem that the hotel was used by manual trades as a base for their work during the week.
Website says "checkout 10am approx", we were packing at 10 and left at 10.15 but had a knock on our door and pretty aggressive shout "Checkout is 10!"

Facilities for parking......on street outside and you may not be lucky enough to get a spot near the front door.
Would be more convenient if breakfast wen on until 9am instead of 8.30am.

booked ground floor or lift. Neither available had to be switched to adjoining accommodation.All clean except shower - black mould.Dirty under toilet seat at back. The parking is a problem if you take your car away for the day.
We were dissapointed that there was no chairs in the room also no mirror, very important for a lady to do hair and make up and good thing I took my haidryer.
The bed was made every morning but bathroom was untouched. Some of the guests who left for work at %am were very noisy.
it was clean,the staff were friendly but on the whole it felt more like a workmans b&b rather than a hotel. breakfast was not what I would have expected from a hotel,and worst of all we were sitting in the dining room at breakfast and were the last people to leave and one of the staff made a derogatory comment to a leaving guest who was only advising her that there was an issue with the tv remote..not professional at all.
furniture falling apart such as chest of draws, bed side tables and chairs... need more glue.
No evening meals were available. For £85.00 per night which was quite a high price I would expect more than this facility had to offer. The smoking area is at the front door and as a non smoker I found this unacceptable to walk through a crowd of smokers to get into the facility.
cobwebs in the brdroom. fungy in the shower cubcle. breakfast poor quality. no off road parking.
The place was really expensive for what it was. The room had no toiletries and the top shelf was dirty in the room and looked like it hadn't been wiped for a while. Parking was on the roadside.
