After reading some reviews I was a little worried about staying here but please don't let the bad reviews put you off. My stay was wonderful. Easy to find, the receptionist who greeted us was polite, and helped us pay for our parking. The place was very clean, and it was obvious they'd cleaned the room and changed the beds in prep for our stay. Breakfast was basic but tasty. The hotel itself was very quiet, and I didn't expect it to be as there was a lot of football fans staying at the same tim.

I enjoyed my stay, especially after moving from another in the same street. The meals were good, room satisfactory, staff friendly and it was fairly handy to the city. I particularly like the scottish breakfast and the maze-like interior design. It had been a pleasant stay at the Willow Guest House. Excellent room with plenty of storage space and a good sized bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location for city centre. Friendly staff,great breakfast and very good location. No Hairdryer. none. front door was left open for long periods assumed whilst cleaning was underway and whilst there is a security camera, couldn't be sure if someone was watching entrance all the time. Сracks in the windows, poorly cleaned rooms, the lack of a normal internet even in the public area, even though the promised in the rooms. The 2 members of staff we dealt with weren't overly welcoming or chatty. The rooms were ok but worn. The bathroom wasn't very clean - hairs on shower. The tired and threadbare decor, the unlined (and drooping) curtains, size of the towels, very slow service. guest house needed a complete refurbishment . It had a stale smell of smoking, although it was a non smoking establishment. broken kettle, room a little dingy, not much choice at breakfast. Walking up the hill to it No lift and a lot of stairs. Ended up only using one room, didnt go near the other room and they wouldn't give us our money back! Payed for a room we didn't even enter or use. Television not working , toilet cistern makes a noise all night so not being able to sleep , breakfast table to cramped not enough room to move, breakfast was over done reheated wont be back again. Many stairs and doors, cheap furniture, very small room, poor wifi, lack of electrical outlets. The first room we were given had been smoked in, but we got it changed right away. Room required a thorough clean Room left unlocked by a cleaner. Rooms were unclean. Wardrobe had damp in it, chest of drawers were dirty and had dead insect in one of them, bathroom had damp, and bin in bathroom not emptied from previous people in room ! I'm a cleaning supervisor of 12 years and never have I stayed in such a dirty room. Even had to go out air freshner. Took pictures to prove all of this!. Early breakfast. Had noisy couple next to my room 36 who came back after twelve midnight banging cupboards, shower door and loud T.V. and laughing... There was nobody to report nor a telephone in the room to report to the night porter... Only reported the following morning after the damaged was done your hotel badly needs discipline!. ,the male he was the most unpleasant Pearson I've ever met. Majority was terrible, including the prat on the desk. Totally disrespectful towards myself and friends and also fellow guests. Witnessed him start an argument with another guest regarding price of room (60 pounds stated on the price board, he charged 75.) We should have slept on the suchiehall street. Where do you start???Horrible staff, and accommodation was back in a different decade. Probably the 60s. Absolutely no where to park without red oculus restrictions which last to 10pm. Never again. The place is horrible, dirty and dingy if I could have got home that night I wouldn't have stayed. Soiled bedding, sockets that did n't work, dirt over all surfaces and dead flies in the bathroom light fitting -nice!!!. This was truely a terrible guest house. The welcome was non-existent and then I got given a key to a room that was already occupied. When we did get a room it was dingy and not that clean. The fittings were very old. I wouldn't care but it wasn't even that cheap at £70 per night. What a dump. I was put in a room where the last person had been smoking. Hotel was full per internet so I opened windows. They fell shut. My stuff smelled of smoke for days despite left out in open. No one was about at reception when I had to leave in a hurry the next day as breakfast late. I wish at least a full refund. This experience makes me not use small "Hotels" in future or book on the internet. I booked this guest house as it said there is Wifi connection but I could not use Internet at all... The Willow Guest house should tell that in Website. The room, common areas were not clean. Breakfast was not delicious. Disgusting needs cleaning.
