We spent only one night in this hotel but I would definetely recommend it to anyone visiting Glasgow. We had a small room with shared bathroom. Both room and the bathroom were very clean. For this price it was a good deal. We parked the car just outside the hotel and bought a 2 pound parking ticket from receptionist for the whole afternoon untill 12 P.m next day. We were interested in art galleries and museums and so the location was excellent. It was also close to an underground station and the Botanical Gardens. Our room was very spacious and clean. Staff was knowledgeable and helpful.

I wish many other places had people like Nice little hotel, clean and very cosy rooms, free wifi. Kettle and tea already in the room. I have stayed at The Kelvin Hotel about every three years for 50 years, and over three owners, the standard has always been extremely high for comfort, service and welcome. Everything. The manageress is wonderful. Friendly and helpful. The room was clean and warm as were the showers. Without a doubt value for money. The location was ideal. Original features of the building have been retained. The location was nice even if it wasn't central, it was close to a very nice area with nice pubs and restaurants and the Kelgingrove Park. Not good for those who have difficulty climbing stairs. Doesn't have the best noise insulation. No faults. none. not working radiator regulator in room 6. Don't go if you have a car to park..........parking is well "not there". The rooms are tiny and needing decorated. I didn't like sharing the tiny bathroom with 7 other people (who were not amongst my group) and the shower was even smaller!. Hotel is a little tired. The toilet was smelly, the carpet wasn't very clean and the window was single glazing (on a busy road). nothing. No Internet working. I have to pay 1.5% extra fee when i used VISA card. the house is cold. The bathroom was a bit small. It was too easy to hear other guests talking in their rooms - the wall are a bit thin. Noisy room.
