The hotel gave me a free upgrade to larger room, which was lovely. We liked the fact it was so central, we liked the comfort of the room. Had a quality feel about the place, not plastic and processed. Loved the old features of the building mixed with contemporary feel. Hotel was clean, good value for money with good facilities and the staff were all extremely pleasant and helpful. I will ignore the traveller's reviews which appear to have been completed by persons with unrealistic demands and will most definitely be back in future.

Bottled water is a bit dear at £3.50 a bottle.Should have discounted parking at convenient car parke across road. Cost was very expensive for one day and night's parking - spoils the Abode experience!. Misleading traveller's reviews which placed Abode in 66th place amongst Glasgow's hotels, I think that's very harsh to say the least. No trouser press. Room lacked a comfortable chair. Loud air-conditioning unit outside room was anoying.No parking facilities. The hotel web page claims to have a deal with a muli storey car parking site. When i enquired at reception i was told this is no longer the case. Music too loud in bar area at times.having to walk through groups of smorkers on the main entrance to the hotel, the strong smell of sour beer or something else in the bar. There were no bath robes and the air conditioning wasnt very good.There wasnt any parking at the hotel but there was a multi storey carpark across the road, but it didnt open until 6.30am and we had toleave at 6am.The room was tiny and the finish was shabby. The type of room we booked was not available, so we got a lesser standard room than we booked-same price. We were however, given a free bottle of wine which was acceptable.I was rather disappointed at the decor of the room. It did not feel luxurious or 'enviable' as described.The standard of the bathroom I also felt was below par. The bed was extremely soft to the point of sagginess and was only a double, I would have expected a kingsize in a room of this size. There was no decent coffee in the room, amongst sachets of herb tea and decaf; no basket of 'goodies' which they asked if I had had anything from when I was checking out, and they initially tried to charge me for a breakfast I had not had! Little things, but for £100 you expect somewhat more.the rooms are small and not well equipped. The first room we were shown had no furniture to allow you to store clothes, space for a case, etc. Both rooms overlooked service pipes and had no view. Very over rated its a four star hotel and it felt like a 2 star!.
