We were made to feel so welcome, the room was excellent and thebreakfast even better. We had no problem useing our card to pay andfound no problem with parking. I travel a lot for work and chellowdene was one of the best guest houses by far friendly, clean and a great breakfast. i found no problem parking. We had a great time the owners were so friendly which made us feel welcome, it was realy clean and the breakfast was the best we have ever had. all reviews »
We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived, we only stayed 1 night but have booked again for 2009 for our summer break.such a friendly and helpful welcome, beautiful rooms, very clean and fantastic breakfast. We would recommend it to everyone. What a fab place to stay, highly recomended. We found no issues withparking as long as every one used there common scence.We had a friendly welcome when we arrived and felt immediately at home. I would definately stay there again. friendly atmoshpere, staff welcoming, on beach, short walk into town. was absolutley fantastic!!. Locationand A very clean hotel and A good breakfast. The mattress was very hard & even my partner who actually prefers a firm bed, found that it made his hips sore when laying on his side. So not the most comfortable of nights for sleeping. maybe later breakfast serving times on the week end would be good, everyone likes to sleep in a bit when on holiday :). Difficult parking. No en suite toilet. The parking did not prove a problem for us but I think it could for some people if they got blocked in. Car parkign was tight and you were often blocked in, which lead to time being taken up in moving cars about. Car Parking and En-suite. Parking was inconvenient because of shortage of space, so one car would block in the others.Room was smaller than expected and parking was not very convenient. The shower dripped all night and was impossible to silence. Bathroom was cramped and sink in room a bit of a joke due to the beam which you had to avoid to get near to it. Would not recommend to anyone over about 5'. Not enough room to get in the shower. A little over priced for nonlicenced bandb. Rooms not particularly well appointed and slight feeling of stingeyness about facilities.

Information about the area
Chellowdene is 60 yards from a blue flag beach and 10 yards from 2 hotel leisure complexes with gyms and indoor pools. We are about a 10 minute walk from the town, where there are excellent bars and restaurants open all year. We are on the coastal path with many other walks near by. Falmouth docks and the marina are close by, where cruise liners frequently call and depart.

Travelling information
By road:
- Take the M5 south and exit at junction 30 onto the A30.
- Continue south for Truro then take the A39 for Falmouth.
- Pass McDonalds on the left, continue up the hill and through the main lights at the crossroads (Jaguar garage on the left) then straight across the 1st roundabout.
- Continue straight across 2nd roundabout and Gyllyngvase Hill is approximately 300 yards on the right. Chellowdene is halfway down on the left.
By rail:
- From Truro, take the branch line to Falmouth town.
- When you leave the station, turn left and continue up the hill to the top.
- Bear right and Gyllyngvase Hill is approximately 50 yards on the left.
