I`m an Architect, specialized in hotels, been in 29 counties and hundreds of hotels, but haven't seen such amazing design, decor and luxury of fine details in each and every corner of this unique hotel. It`s beyond imagination. Staff were more than excellent. Food was great.

Definitely best choice for Edinburgh. Have stayed at Balmoral 3 times already, and every time was an exceptionally pleasant experience. Love the superb location, warm and welcoming atmosphere, excellently polite and helpful staff, relaxing SPA area. Strongly recommend Number one restaurant for a delicious haute cuisine dinner.. -

Choosing accommodation in a city that you are unfamiliar with is always hard. We chose well as this hotel is brilliantly located in the "old " city right off the Royal Mile. Wow- fantastic hotel. We got it for a really good price through
letsbookhotel.com and our stay was perfect. The staff were brilliant and so
attentive allowing us to check in early and assigning us to a fab room.
The room was spacious bright and colourful with lots of lovely added
extras including free movies,mini bar drinks, robes and slippers. We
also had a massage each in the spa centre which was fantastic. The
location is more than you could ask for- everything on the doorstep!!

I'm on gluten free diet - had no problems whatsoever. The chef even amended the Valentine's Day menu in the Grill Room. All the staff were exceptionally helpful. The rooftop hyropool was wonderful. - The upgrade to our room was very comfortable and appreciated. The staff were all very helpfull and friendly.

The staff were very polite and informative.
The hotel is petite and cosy.
The rooms are amazing with some great touches and are great to relax in if travelling on business or leisure.
The location is brilliant. It is central but not right in the middle of things and a great location for getting about and seeing Edinburgh. -
