I asked for an early check-in: I got it. We needed assistance at 1am: we got it, no qualms whatsoever. Faultless. It did the job- somewhere cheap n local for the family to crash down after a wedding do. We got what we paid for , and more:!the staff service was 5*- many thanks xx.
The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. I had somehow been allocated a disabled room with single beds. Staff kindly gave us a room with a double bed without any trouble.all reviews »
Receptionist was incredibly friendly and helpful. Met with a smile, efficient and helpful. The room was warm and well equipped and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

the lady on reception and a young man (dont know name) handled the situation very well. were very friendly and sorted the situation to our satisfaction. they explained they had had water problems there and we should have been notified but full marks to them for sorting us a room.

Nothing; if you are asking for improvements, the carpet in room no 6 could do with replacing, but everything works and is clean and comfortable.

Security during day easy access to rooms. Front door not locked.
when we arrived our booking was not registered. i had the paperwork to prove I made it.i had come from sheffield to see daughters in great north run and knew i wouldnt get anywhere else. i also had my grandaughters with me aqnd was dreading having to drive back home.
Being at a motorway service was not the best environment.
beds were rather small.
It needs a refurb, ceiling paper hanging down in the bathroom windows hard to close. Disable room only had one key! Reception not continually staffed.
The musky smell, the mouldy carpets the beds the dirty chairs in the room the broken and old bathroom counter. The place needs and overhaul....it is grimmy!!!!!!..and NOT FIT FOR HUMANS......!!!!!!!!!!!!... regretted my booking there.
When we arrived our room only had a bed for us and not our child. It was very basic, no toiletries in the bathroom and the bed was awful. We fell into the middle where the mattress was so poor and only had one pillow that was so lumpy! Hence we had a terrible nights sleep.
The hotel bathrooms are in need of updating
Wifi was dificult to get on to.
