Each beautifully appointed room has been individually designed with a feature bed. Many also have a seating area with a coffee table and chairs. Executive rooms boast 32 inch LCD TVs, and a separate bath and walk-in shower. The Café Bar Concerto is The Earl's new Art Deco restaurant. Its glamorous surrounds, with a baby grand piano, sunburst chandeliers and a glass-paneled cocktail bar, make for an impressive environment in which to enjoy a champagne afternoon tea or an à la carte dinner. The largest independent hotel in Doncaster, the Earl is 10 minutes’ walk from theatres and restaurants. The rail station is one mile away and Doncaster Sheffield Airport is 15 minutes’ drive.

the Lobby was stunning , and the marble floor stunning, executive room bed was very comfortable. Quiet, meal available upto 9pm, not far from town centre. Served its purpose as the hotel was close to the racecourse, where we were attending a wedding. Price probably reflected the standard of accommodation. The windows were double glazed hence no traffic noise.

There was nothing that I liked about staying at the Earl of Doncaster - in fact the best thing about the whole stay was checking out. was disappointed no mini bar, and also thought that with quite high room rates breakfast would be included. bad smell of smoke when going from old part of the hotel to new part of the hotel, couple of phone sockets missing in the corridors. No leaflets for visitors to view nearby attractions that i saw. Staff were not particularly helpful and one in particular had a very odd manner! There was a disco in the hotel and the noise prevented us from sleeping until after 2am ... we rang down to reception but did not get the option of moving to a quieter room. Receptionist was very dismissive.Bad reception on the TV, shower temperature was hard to regulate it was too hot unable to get cold i think it could have caused some burning on some skins, could not access cold water in the sink stayed as hot as the hot water tap so had to clean our teeth in warm water,the bathroom fixtures such as the toothbrush holder were loose, there was no toilet brush, the carpet was grubby. The lift was not working, the room was too hot and central heating noisy. The shower dripped all night. I found the room a little dated and not suitable for a business traveller.poor internet connection from room, some lights did not work, key card was to reprogram daily, restaurant expensive,. Your website says that the hotel takes dogs with no additonal charge, in fact they do not take dogs! I had to plead with them and agree to carry my dog through reception! They made a big point of saying that the dog was not to sleep on the beds, she has her own bed, yet the bedding, especially the valances on each single bed were filthy!. Everything - Staff not well trained or informed - New wing not finished and freezing - No ambiance, character or personality - No hotel directory or chair in room - No chance of room service. Having been a hotelier in a past life I couldn't believe the lack of absolutely every aspect of a good hotel.
