A well appointed room with all you needed.Nothing stood out particularly over and above any other hotel i have stayed at. It had all the ameneties associated with a good 4 star hotel. good size room, very comfortable bed. Room,bar,breakfast. The hotel was very quiet therefore it made our stay more relaxing.The facilities were all excellent. Quiet and elegant. comfortable room. Good reception staff, correctedmisunderstanding over booking ( was for BandB but hotel had Room only) Friendly helpful gym, pool and bar staff.well decorated and bright on first impression. it was convenient for our travels. staff, and facillities. Health spa. New employee on reception in spa area. Was unsure of opening time of beauty treatments area. Restaurant is not suitable fo rfamilies with young children, due to costs and environment. The price of their acoholic drinks was very expensive. food/wine prices are expensive when eating in restaurant. The Italian Trattoria resturant is not worth a visit in my personalopinon, unless you want non Italion food. Over priced and not what wasexpected from a 4 start hotel. Sorry this let it down in my eyes. We would have liked a bigger bed given that we chose a superior room. The beds are a little on the firm side and I couldn't get access to a computer for 5mins to check in at the airport. The bed was awful, is was really hard, neither myself or my husband gota good nights sleep due to the bed , which is a shame as the rest of thevisit was great.tea and coffee making facilities in the room would have been nice. Small lift system. the bar area. Previously we booked a Superior Delux room - very large with Double and single bed and full english breakfast freshly cooked to order. We did not recieve this second time round and were deeply disappointed in the drop in service for a 4 star hotel. The Superior Delux Room was significantly smaller with a camp bed placed there after arrival. Full english breakfast was buffet style and appalling. breakfast was in short supply. Room not clean. If I had paid full price I would have been very disappointed. Outside windows were very dirty. All glass surfaces were smeared probably due to incorrect products being used . Low level edges were dusty. Spring cleaning needed! Bidet did not function. If I had taken foreign guests I would have been embarrassed.no internet access in room. The pillows lacked luster!. The breakfast was disappointing: with slow service,, cold toast and tomatoes and poor tea but good filter coffee. parts of room and bathroom need cleaning and bees nest on balcony meant bees entering the room. the bed springs were just about poking through and noisy when turning over. dirty room, leaking shower. Hard bed and cold room.

From south and west: Leave m6 at j15 or m1 at j24, and take a50 towards Derby. Leave at j5 and follow a516 to Derby. Take the exit signed for Mickleover. The hotel is on the left before the roundabout. From north: Leave m1, j28 for a38 to Derby. Stay on a38 for about 20 minutes. Take a516 for Uttoxeter. After a short distance, take the sign for Mickleover and the hotel is on the right. Derby Rail Station is 20 minutes by car.
