  Was a bit wary given the bad reviews, but this was a fantastic experience. Lovely old castle with modern facilities, friendly staff, peaceful location with large grounds, huge beds, superb breakfast, and the gym and pool facilities were top class.   We visited the Cults as we were attending a family party being held in the reception hall within the hotel so it was great leaving the reception and going straight to our room rather than having to hang around waiting on taxis. The whole evening including dinner (which we purchased seperately, not included in room rate) before the event was great... what people say » , there is nothing I can fill in the comment box that I found I did not like. Great night overall & a Great Hotel, Thanks - The staff couldn't have been more friendly, efficient and obliging. As we were going to a wedding, we asked if we could get into our rooms before official check in time and it was not a problem. The rooms were charming and the beds were very comfortable with good linen.
