This hotel is really lovely, the rooms are very comfy and it is a very romatic place for a weekend break. Made to feel very welcome and the choice of menu and quality wasexcellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. the beautiful surroundings. Food and comfort. Very pleasant location, clean and spacious room with excellent en-suite facilities. Friendliness of all the staff.

Looks grand, plenty of car parking, food a bit overpriced. booked executive room it was tiny and had no walk in shower or free wine etc.Setting of hotel. Easy acces to our visiting itinerie, reception staff were generally very good but the service in the restaurant was very poor and the food could only be described as average.Over rated and staff are not the brightess things. The entrance to the hotel was magnificent. public rooms very impressive. The room service was not that good, I was there for 2 nights and my room was not serviced until 3pm, which I found out of order. Last morning I went into the breakfeast room and no one served me. I waited about 15 mins and then walked out.I had to wait 10 minutes before a table was cleared for me to have breakfast. Due to a wedding going on the service on that day was a bit slow, however this did not impar the quality of the food. Facilities for enjoying the 11 acres of grounds, which were beautiful, restricted - ie. walking the grounds.Wifi was either £10 per or hour or per day (depending on what you read)- either seems excessive so wouldn't use. Entrance a bit offputting - could be improved. No one thought to mention there was a wedding reception taking place andmy room was adjacent to the ballroom so I 'enjoyed' the wedding band allevening and didn't sleep a wink. When I complained the next morning thereceptionist said 'oh I'm really sorry about that' which made me feel awhole lot better. Don't forget to ask if they're hosting a wedding -even on a Monday night!. Nothing much.The rooms look a little tired. Floor coverings / carpets would do with the renovating. Also the room i was in did not offer any Internet facility which may be OK if on holidays. I was informed that the building is old and hence only some of the rooms have wireless Internet. Since there is a telephone to every room and hence the above answer is misguided. I was not told that the hotel has band practice every week which is very loud and goes on very late. It was so loud I couldn't hear the TV in my room.Could do with some decorating. waited 1.5 hours for very standard breakfast, decorators need to do some rooms up.Not being left in peace at dinner. My partner and I were the only diners. Waitress stayed in dining room and was constantly enquiring if everything was alright. Some privacy would have been nice. The dinner itself was vasty overpriced for the quality of food on offer.Also hotel very dingy in public rooms. Felt like yiu were in a retirement home.Would not recommend this hotel. The waiting staff in the restaurant were of poor standard and the food ony average, the room was cold, cramped and not worthy of the high prices that we paid. It was all down hill from there. small rooms, very "tired" decor.

From the South (A90):
- Take the A90 from Perth/Dundee.
- Approach a roundabout on the outskirts of Aberdeen and take the 2nd exit.
- Head over the Bridge of Dee. At the next roundabout, take the first exit.
- At the next 2 roundabouts, go straight ahead.
- You will pass Robert Gordon’s University on your left. Follow the road round and you will approach Norwood Hall Hotel on the left, just after a sharp bend in the road.

From the North (A90):
- Take the Ellon – Aberdeen road.
- Enter Aberdeen on King Street and carry on to Union Street.
- At the last set of traffic lights on Union Street (Bank of Scotland on left) bear left onto Holburn Street.
- When you reach the roundabout, take the 3rd exit.
- At the next mini roundabout, bear left and continue down Holburn Street to the very end, where you will approach a roundabout.
- Take the 2nd exit towards Boots/Asda.
- At next 2 roundabouts, go straight ahead.
- You will pass Robert Gordon’s University on your left. Follow as above.

From the airport / Inverness (A96):
- Follow the signs for the city centre on the A96.
- Turn onto the A90, signposted Perth/Dundee.
- Follow the dual carriageway over Aberdeen. Go straight ahead at all roundabouts toward the Bridge of Dee, where you will approach another roundabout.
- Take the 3rd exit towards Boots/Asda.
- Follow as above.
