The package for room & parking was excellent value. All went very smoothly when collecting our car at the end of the holiday. The fact that we were able to have tea/coffee & breakfast before we left for the airport at silly-o'clock was a pleasant surprise too. The location was peaceful and quiet. I feel we got good value for what we paid. Driving down after work from Lancashire we wanted somewhere we could check into very late and that was comfortable, reasonably priced and included a breakfast. Little Foxes comfortably met all those requirements and its proximity to Off-Airport parking and Gatwick itself (and yet with no problem of noise) is excellent.
all reviews » Stayed here following return to Gatwick from holiday. Arrival was very welcoming. Hotel very quiet and room clean, had a countryside farm feel with the room looking out onto fields. Had the full English breakfast which was lovely. Would definitely stay again if I needed park and fly as close to the airport. I can't really think of anything I liked. - Except perhaps for the free WiFi. The location was good . Linen was clean and fresh and lovely towels. Was alright. Lack of ventilation in the bathroom could have been a problem I suppose, but we managed fine. If we'd wanted a luxury hotel we'd have booked somewhere else & paid a whole lot more. Our room was very close to the Reception Area and, as a result, on a couple of occasions there was a good deal of noise. Toilet didn't flush properly but that was the only negative thing. Noisy water pipe running length of bedroom of the converted stable block - continual ticking/tapping noise. Noise from cistern - mechanism not working correctly as water refill after flushing continued much longer than it needed to. Shower was very small and had come apart at the top which meant that doors weren't easy to close. Double bed (used to king size) but only minor problem. Was a bit noisy at times as our room was close to reception and with people leaving early could hear talking. Room was slightly too hot on arrival, but we were able to turn the heating off; so it was not a problem to us. The dirty blind in bedroom and the cobwebs and general cleanliness in the bathroom. Directions on how to find Little Foxes could be improved. Road system around Gatwick somewhat confusing. Cannot complain about anything :-). No comment to make All was as they said excellent. No evening meal, had to go to local pub although the Hotel just down the road did do meals but we were not made aware by staff, only brochure in room, and we did not know how close it was. Nothing to dislike!. No gluten free bread despite request 2 weeks before stay. the hot water is too hot, needs to be made cooler. Couldn't give me directions when I rang from nearby until was very close. Although we were pleased to have an early breakfast (3am), we found the bread to have green mould around the edge. The hotel was noisy. I would suggest a padded key box so that the noise of keys being dropped in the box is one less noise to contend with. No bar. nothing. Nothing. No breakfast included Noise problems from within hotel. While we were trying to sleep, it sounded like staff were moving furniture above our room. No hotel bar or restaurant. some of the accommodation was a bit dated. Accommodation was poor really Stuck out in what was stables, and not much improved at that. No Restaurant!!!!!!!!! Breakfast was almost acceptable. Very disappointed with the whole stay. Won't go back. Will use a proper hotel in future. distance from town, particularly restaurants. They recommend the Ifield hotel, but the food there is expensive, though not particularly wonderful. There is no bar. There is no dinner (there is a menu provided for another hotel a mile up the road that you have to drive to for dinner - I found a local pub instead) My room had peeling paint and smelt of damp and was generally grotty. Limescale and mould in the shower. Very unimpressed as I could have stayed elsewhere with basic facilities such as a bar and restaurant for the same price. No cooked breakfast on Sunday and buffet very basic . Bed in room 10 was like a rock !! Shower broke while my 10 year old was turning it on and it shocked her as water couldn't be turned off. We did fix it but it was not acceptable. Headboards were dirty . Shower needs updating. Very difficult to find. No food available - only breakfast till 9 am. No staff on reception till 3 pm - so lots of people arriving/ returning and no one there to help them. I wouldn't recommend it.
