The food was great. location and price. If you can get a special rate then this place is ok, but the advertised rate of £109 has to be a joke. I did book both room with breakfast but it seems I have been charged breakfast for one of the rooms which I will take up with them later. We always stay there when we are attending shows at the NEC or Coventry as you can always get a good rate.

Easy to find, on main road in village. close to where I had to be. Friendly staff, good food. the location. The staff are friendly and the hotel has all the facilities that we required (comfortable room, restraunt, bar, and location). the room was a good size and was not cramped . it was cleaned each day and towels changed daily. good bar. room decor a little dated, but clean. Location and price. good location. the bar restaurant and room service and good value for money. Large car park, easy to find and good location.the beds were comfortable breakfast was very good food at the reception was good the reception area and all bars were good. the price and location. free internet access. convenient for NEC with good parking - plenty of hot water, powerful shower and a decent tv. beds comfortable and rooms warm - too warm at times. Food was good. Near NEC Helpful staff. nothing. the frendliness of the staff. we asked to move rooms and they were very helpful. its in a great spot for the NEC. Near to relatives. The fact they allowed dogs!. Nothing...truly terrible. Although we didn't dislike it, we have stayed there about 5 times now and they seem incapable of getting the correct amount of towels in a room. You would think that for a double room for example, there would be two sets of towels, but there never is, and when we asked for extra we were asked why we needed more and how many did we need as they didn't have too many!. We were extremely disappointed to have paid for a breakfast and then be told that breakfast had stopped being served at 9.30am, which for a weekend is very, very early.no hairdryer available. First room offered was long way from lift, up and down stairs and I am not good at walking, also it had not been cleaned properly, especially the bathroom. Second room was ok.the room was a double but there were only two towels (one bath one hand) fortunately we only stayed one night. The hotel lets itself down badly on the general appearence and cleanliness of the public areas - it could do with a good clean!. the room was looking abit tired. part of the carpet had split and held down with tape. the bathroom had some mould. bathrooms here are in need of renovation - they are mouldy. Room was by the lift shaft and therefore noisy through the night, the shower head was one jet of water and not a shower, also the shower curtain was sucked towards me making it difficult to shower, I would recommend this hotel with these proviso's. I chose this hotel for rate and location. our room was very noisy everytime we flushed the chain in the bathroom there was a loud buzzing that lasted about an hour so we found it difficult to sleep. Hotel looks to be dated, and could do with bringing up to spec. room wasn't very clean the beer served in the bars wasn't kept right. Shower flooded the bathroom everytime. our initial room was dirty and hot - but the hotel did move us for the 2nd and 3rd nights. the keycards they use were temperamental to say the least.Oh dear! - I am sure it was very nice in the 60's but hasn't changed much since - basically clean with good bedding but dire room (drew the short straw as others looked a bit better) with brown stains all over the ceiling, only one bedside cupboard/lamp and bed so springy that every movement felt like crossing the Atlantic in a storm!. The attitude of the reception staff. The room had not been prepared and still had dirty bed linen on the beds; toilet was also dirty. The family room smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke although staff assured us that it was a non smoking room! Despite changing accommodation the carpet in our room was filthy and there was nowhere to hang clothes in the bathroom while having a shower.General condition of hotel was very grubby and there were stains everywhere Along with a strong smell of cigar smoke as soon as you switch on bathroom fan. Tv had only a couple of stations. Had to ask for kettle. No remote for television. Room decoration very poor, paint peeling from wall and ceiling.Hotel needs updating especially the rooms. First room TV did not work, complained and helpful staff moved us to another room where there was no kettle and the heating did not work, we were too tired to complain again so we just went to bed. Breakfast (scrambled egg) was disgusting. the general cleanliness of room and hotel. we had booked 2 nights and we arrived they had only one night booked in. In need of a good clean-up and minor repairs. its very much in need of updating and the rooms were dirty - carpet filthy - bathroom tiles broken - shower door with black mould.. tried another room but it wasnt much better. we wouldnt stay there again unless it had been updated.The first room allocated to us , and this was at 7pm, had not been serviced. Beds unmade, wet towels on the bathroom floor, not cleaned. The replace met room was in the older part of hotel, very tired looking room. Carpet filthy, shower took 10 mins to run even slightly warm, bathroom very tired looking. When serviced in the morning, the maid didn't bother to wash or replace used cups. My bedsheets smelt awful, I had no toilet roll and the keetle in the room leaked and burnt my hand. I am not usually a moaner, but this was a truly terrible experience and I did not like the hotel at all.
