The meal was excellent on Friday evening - there were three of us at dinner and all had something different and were delighted with the standard - both taste and presentation. The members of staff were friendly and attentive. We would definitely stay again. friendliness of the staff was excellent. Even though my crfedit card was overcharged, they refunded me without any quibble on arrival. stayed in family room with husband and 8 year old daughter who also loved her stay.

Disorganised fire alarm incident. No soap.There could have been more staff on reception to check guests out, as there was a long queue. no air conditioning. quality and value for money of room service. The staff in the bar area were completely inattentive and the bar meals and drinks were then shoem twice on the bill.Access to the hotel was a bit awkward. Limited bar menu as events taking place in banqueting suites. Staffseemed rather fraught and food rather bland and mediocre. Hot cookedbreakfast rather tasteless.Breakfast wasn't as hot as it could have been on the second night of our stay. The Breakfast was not up to the standard of hotels in this price bracket. Decor was beginning to look shabby with trip hazards on the carpets and visible use of masking tape to carry repairs to the carpets in the public areas. understaffing, putting pressure on staff and delays for some services. It took nearly 10 minutes to check out. Bar staff not attentive or proactive enough once we had been servedonce. They seemed to simply disappear. no elevator and internet too expensive. hotel should pay attention to room selection for guests with children as ours was directly over function room that had entertainment for coach of O.A.P's and my 5 year old awake till 10.45pm. I complained at the time and was offered another room but we had checked in the night before and where in bed. we were offered a small concession of an upgrade next time we stay. So that was that. Trying to get someone to serve us in the bar was hard and when they did I had to teach the bar staff how to pour a pint of Murphys. Next to a smoking room we could smell it. There was frequently no-one at the reception desk to answer calls, whichwas a hassle.being allocated a smoking room and at first being told there was no alternative but after unpacking and developing a headache an alternative was found. Inconvenient and unnecessary as I'd made it clear on checking in that I wasn't happy. standard of food was poor.
