Everything- the staff are very friendly, the atmosphere is warm, the rooms are of a perfect size and are very comfortable, the location is good- just a 15 minute walk to the town. We would definitely stay again. The guest house was perfect. It had a brilliant location, the staff were great, the rooms were lovely and spotless, and the food was brilliant. I would go back anytime I was visiting Chester again.
all reviews » hotel owner was very friendly and helpfull, the room was very comfortable and clean, we found no failut with this hotel and would deffinitley stay agian. Pleasent stay at this guest house with no problems. Enjoyed everything from room to breakfast to price. We were almost in Basil Fawlty country but other than this the same staff were very friendly.The bathroom could do with a bit of a facelift and Internet connection although advertised was not working. These are minor point however and I would return to stay at the hotel in the future. Only thing missing was tea/coffee making facility in the room.Perhaps a bit more flexibility over breakfast time at weekend 8am - 9am is quite early but to be fair we could have asked for later time and didn't. There is nothing really wrong here at all, minor things such as maybe some new tiles in the bathroom etc., but overall worth the price you pay.The hotel generally was very good.However,only a couple of points about the room worth noting.the tea and coffee making within the room lacked a powerpoint for the kettle,which meant taking the kettle across the room to use it.Would also have like internet access which as far as I could tell I couldn't access this.But on the whole we were very pleased with the hotel and would recommend.

Information about the area

It is a ten minute walk to the city centre and Chester main line station is only 5 minutes away. We are on the local minibus route into Chester, which runs every 7 minutes.

A short drive will take you into the lovely countryside of Wales, and it takes only 35 minutes to drive to Manchester.

Chester Zoo is minutes away so is Ellesmere Port with its Boat Museum and Market, also Cheshire Oaks Designing Outlet Village, all well worth visiting.

Travelling information

Approaching on the M53 take junction 12, and follow the A56 towards the city centre. Hamilton Street is the 2nd of the left as you pass All Saints Church.
