Very friendly staff, great food, good service, convenient location?. Very good location, nice room, friendly staff. Staff were outstanding - helpful, friendly, courteous. For the price good value. Bed and pillows very clean and comfortable. Very quite. Tiniest bathroom with the shower tray leaving about 10 inches of floor space to stand on. Hair dryer available in room. A small bottle (one glass) of average wine was £4.10 which if bought at a shop would be no more than £1.25. A number steps to negotiate to get into the hotel. Very close to Chester station and car rental company. Breakfast good. Overall happy with this hotel.all reviews »
It was basic accommodation at a budget price, breakfast was self serveand was just what I wanted. The staff were friendly and helpful, and really made the visit a pleasure. Nice friendly atmosphere and lovely staff. This is a budget hotel and it's excellent value. The staff were helpful,pleasant and cheerful. The Breakfast buffet is a full english as much asyour conscience will let you eat job but even if you don't pig out it'sgood plain fare well presented and hot. The rooms were clean and warmthe towels etc were changed and the tea and coffee topped up - what moredo you want.The Staff were very pleasant. Nice dining room. Convenience of location. Location, price, towels, staff, breakfast, Guinness at £2.30 a pint. quiet and homely. Reception and bar staff excellent. Rooms were somewhat tired looking and slightly tatty.the room was too small for a twin. Bedroom was very basic and in need of redoration. needed a good overall painted decoration carpets need all new.also the furniture was old. The room was in the roof - poor head clearance. The bed needs a new mattress - the springs were prominent.we were directly above the bar which had karioki till after 12. Very cold, couldn't have a shower due to bathroom being so cold. Would not stay there again. Everything! It was dirty dated and disgusting. Dated dirty smelly threadbare carpets old bed dirty windows and curtians.
