Fantastic, well appointed accommodation. We were lucky enough to have a south-west facing apartment overlooking the river and enjoyed each evening with a bottle of wine on the balcony. Extremely clean, beautifully furnished and very quiet. Merchants Quay was about a 15 minute walk away, and the Town Centre a similar distance in the other direction. We are looking forward to our next break with Space in the City. We didn't get chance to enjoy the leisure facilities but they looked very good.
all reviews » Cardiff is such a small city by square miles that really any location is a good location. Our apartment was a 5 minute walk to Mermaid Quay which is very family friendly yet also accommodates a young nightlife. We walked over their both nights and found many options to eat and drink at. Overall the apartment was in good condition and our contact person was very responsive to emails and phone calls. Like the Complex my Daughter actually stays in the complex so that was our reason for booking this apartment. Have staid in a Space in the City Apartment in Cardiff before at Mermaid Quay. Comments are not meant to be at all negative but constructive. The view from balcony, decor , spacious rooms, the fact it was secure parking and surroundings. Helpfulness of staff, cleanliness of apartments which include the surrounding complex. Also there was no rowdy groups, our family enjoyed a peaceful stay. the appartment was very nice and quite homely, the location was also great for being able to walk into the city centre and cardiff bay. we didnt use the leisure facilities so cant comment on those. amazing appartment for a city break :-). It was spotlessly clean, spacious and very close to the bay. The kitchen had everything you could need and there are shops nearby to get milk etc. The pool and gym facilities are adequate. The accommodation was spacious and very well equipped. Staff were efficient and polite, check in was quick and easy. The location is great and free, secure parking space is a bonus!. if you have a car, I will say just location. the location has no facilities such as, bus,train..etc. Even if you require a taxi is quite difficult to describe that building. Very quite and conveniently located for the front, shops and a massive choice of foods. You could eat and drink to a budget or to gourmet standard all in the same area. We had a good time in this apartment. Everything is nice, safe and convenient. Especially feel great of the river view from the balcony. Thanks. Apartment 34 Munich Building. Shower not spotless could do with some bleach in areas.Steam Iron needs replaced water leaks out the base. Bedroom requires Blinds thin light coloured curtains that the light shines in to early in the morning in Summer Months.Everything else perfect. Nothing. We had to wait a while for the lady to come and meet us to let us in the development from the staff headquarters which are off-site. The pool and gym are closed from 8-10 each day which is a pain when check out is 11. Bedroom curtains (let too much light into the room!) - very small criticism though!. the building has no reception. I have waited more than a half an hour to see the person who has a key. It is completely different than system a hotel .I had requested balcony with water view.I got a terrible view front an other apartment. I won't take it again. No where to hang things in the bathroom or in the gym showers. Because we arrived 'out of hours' we had to collect the keys from a restaurant. We had problem finding it. several days after departure i was contacted by mail and accused by staff manager of missing toaster from kitchen which was for me regretable inappropriate and unfair. would suggest if cases like this have happened to instruct the staff to be present not only by check in but also by check out and together with client to go through list of appartment accessories. gloomy - I was on the ground floor; not being able to open the patio door;. The entry carpet to the suite needed to be cleaned, and the placemats needed to be replaced. Couldn't find the dish cloth. Complete lack of hooks in bathroom onto which to hang clothes etc when bathing. Cant't think of anything we didn't like. The arrangements for the pick up of keys out of hours was not perfect. The keys were not available when we arrived and the restaurant staff did not seem to know who was expected. We then had to wait at the local restaurant in the hope that our keys would arrive in due course. Not enough mirrors in the apartment when getting ready to go out, only small bathroom mirrors. The surrounding area was run down, but it didn't prove to be a problem. Not enough parking spaces. Unfortunately we had a problem with the hot water boiler had been set incorrectly so didnt have any hot water for a day . Also heating in master bedroom did not work although a member of staff did go out to get a portable heater.Also toaster tripped the kitchen electrics which annoyed my wife. A few minor issues with the apartment. Nothing. Studio very hot. Hard to find. The identification (Century Wharf) is seen only when you are already there!. Nothing. The confusion on how to find the place because the office was not responding to my phone calls. A fabulous staff member found us lost and ensured that we and our bags got out of the rain and to our apartment, but it was only by luck that he found us.Sammy thanks a million. The lack of hot water The bathroom cleanliness. the cushion on the sofa not fitting and cheap pillows. also the smoke alarm going off several times on our final night. paying extra to have clean linen. the beds were so hard, that my partner had to sleep on the leather sofa, for two nights...... The fire doors. Thought the pool area needed upgrading and the jaccuzzi wasn't working which was disappointing. Didn't like how far it was to city centre in the cold but would be ok in summer. Clearer instructions on how to find the complex. View. Puplic transport though it was only 10 mins walk to Cardiff bay ( along river ) and 15 mins to central station if you needed a bus .You may not get one . the number 11 does not run very offton Might be an idea that a taxi number is ready. nothing. there is no cleaning services & no towels and bed linens changing the apartment was full with spiders !!!. Issues with hot water not constant, also issues with parking. Smell of flat on entering ? bit cold (no central heating) lightweight curtains in bedroom.
