An absolute delight. Rooms were clean, spacious and well appointed.
Staff were very helpful and welcoming (right down to joking about the Christmas tree in the foyer).
Would recommend this to anybody, especially if you have a son/daughter at any of the Leeds universities.
This hotel is far superior to any in the Leeds city center and it doesn't rip you off for parking as the central hotels do.
Highly recommended. We will be staying with you again.
First class.all reviews
I used the hotel purely as an overnight stop, so did not eat there or use other facilities. However, the staff were both friendly and welcoming. As a Wyndhams Rewards member, I was immediately given early check-in and a welcome pack. The room was very comfortable, quiet, spacious and well fitted. The hotel is located on a motorway junction but is only a short and frequent bus ride from the town centre.
The hotel is modern and was extremely clean. The staff were friendly and
very helpful. The hotel is ideally situated next to the m1 and is
designed for week day business so doesn't things like a pool, spa
etc. I was in the area for one nit on a family visit and I would
definitely use it again. The hotel is within a few miles of the Moors.
Friendly and willing staff. Making me a great sandwich at 1130pm. Well cooked full breakfast. So handy for the motorway and yet you cannot hear the motorway or the nearby railway. I used it as a base for business in Leeds as meant I was at the start of my journey south next day more easily. Will use again.
No nonsense, great value, surprisingly good food at very reasonable pricing. The fixed price dinner breakfast package with a drink including is really good value
Also breakfast exceptional, hot and freshly prepared
Proximity to motorway is a plus but far enough away for it not to be a distraction.
Really liked my entire stay, from the moment we received a warm
friendly welcome, to the moment we left. Staff were fantastic, very
helpful and frinedly, food was lovely. We arrived late and they were
just closing up the dining area but managed to squeeze us in and we
didnt even feel rushed.
At letsbookhotel.com rates this hotel gave me the best value stay I have had
for some considerable time. The hotel combines value with good modern
facilities that are clean and well maintained. The staff were very
attentive and helpful. Excellent - a brilliant hotel!.
the service from arrival to leaving the service and friendly ship that was there without pressure. The one thing that stands above all was the food and the service that came with the food.our thanks to you all that made our few days there a real pleasure Tony Hall.
Easy to find, just off M1,very clean modern hotel. The breakfasts were delicious. The rooms were good and the bed comfortable, what more could you ask for.Well done keep up the good work, kind regards to all the staff, you are a cedit to the Ramada Encore Hotel.
Very friendly staff who did everything to make us feel welcome and to cater for our needs with a young baby.Ate in the hotel both evenings - food excellent and very reasonably priced. Also had a very good breakfast both mornings. Room clean and comfortable.
location, price, quality of the room, super shower, no noise at all on 2nd floor even though there was a 'bikers' wedding party on until late. Staff were friendly. check in and out was quick and simple. The whole thing was really just a pleasant surprise.
First time at Hotel and was very impressed by the rooms, very practical and well thought out. Easy location to get to and great facilities onsite and locally, Reception staff very polite and helpful and will "definitely" be staying there again :-).
Me and my girlfriend thought the hotel was great. It was a late booking
therefore we only paid £25. I think that what we got for £25 was
brilliant! Although the pillows wernt that comfortable but that
can't be faulted with the price I paid.
I liked everything about this hotel and in particular the kind and friendly hotel staff and the chef for cooking such lovely tasting food. I would highly recommend this hotel to stay at or have a meal at. I would definitely stay here again.
Central heating system was excellent it was easy to control and considering the day I stayed was very cold the room reached an optimal temperature very quickly.
The location is excellent very easy access to the motorway.
Excellent night staff who immediately repaired a faulty fuse at around 2am.
Spacious room and quiet hotel.
Great location, easy to find amd with good parking.
Very clean and lovely bathroom
Already booked to stay again.
The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. The shower room was extremely good especially in this price range. I will certainly consider returning to the hotel should we have another weekend in Yorkshire.
I liked the simplicity of the room, the cleanliness, the comfort of the bed, the shower, the facilities and the location. Very convenient for the motorway but the soundproofing was good so it was also very quiet.
I liked the hotel as a complete package. Comfortable rooms and a great
value meal deal. Much better to book room only and take the deal. The
food is very good, extremely high quality and always piping hot.
Very convenient for M1 and easy to find. Very clean and stylish rooms. Minimal staff but all efficient, professional and friendly. Breakfast was of a high standard and breakfast area bright and welcoming.
Cost was fabulous - and add to that great bathrooms, quiet and decent-sized rooms, kettles etc. only there one night while travelling but good location for things like yorkshire sculpture park, sheffield.
hotel was easy to get to, clean, bright&modern, everything you would need for business or holiday, staff friendly, easy check in and a good price.what more could you ask for!.
we like all ofit even dog freindly which is why we chose it also my husband to be is from higham barnsley and his family still live there --jackie nogre and we will return.
Price deal, food deal, staff excellent very helpful and very friendly. Place light and airy. Well located for onward travel in any direction via M/way or A roads.
Bathroom was like a wet room, nice and modern . Hairdryer didnt work but after letting reception know a replacement was brought very quickly, excellent service .
The hotel is clean and all staff were helpful and polite. The rooms are modern and clean and beds are very comfortable. The price per night is excellent value.
Good location for local hospital where I was visiting a family member
who had been admitted as an emergency. Excellent & helpful staff,
especially Vicky.
Clean room, nice shower and convenient for my desination. Very good value when booked through letsbookhotel.com. It's my third stay here and i will return.
staff were fabulous, couldnt be more polite and helpful. The whole hotel was absolutely clean, breakfast gave you a varied choice. would book again.
Really nice staff, room was clean and fresh, food was really nice. And the bar does not show as beer on the receipt so work will pay for that. Cool.
location near to motorways, eatery close by,handy for travelling into town centre for shops and nightlfe.hotel nice and quiet with good facilites.
The location was excellent, next to the motorway but wasn't noisy at all.
Dining options on the same site. Dog friendly as well.
Very impressed.
Warm welcome. Pleasant staff members who are always wiling to help. Excellent food and reasonably priced. Hotel was very clean inside and out.
It was an amazing price £25 for the night, I would stay there all the time with offers like that.
Great staff, and it was very comfortable.
Helpful staff. Friendly, relaxed ambience. Rooms well thought out and comfortable. Buffet breakfast was excellent and good value for money.
I stay in a lot of hotels with my job. This has to be the most value for money hotel that I've stayed in this year. (£29.00) bargain!!!.
Shower was perfect,
bed was great, clean and tidy.
All in all with a few exceptions (see box opposite)I would stay with Ramada again.
Friendly and efficient check in. Just yards from j37 of m1 with free
parking. Got a room for twenty nine pounds which is great value.
Brilliant value for money, some members of staff, in particular Vicky, gave outstanding customer service. Made to feel very welcome.
Good size clean room with en suite bathroom. Good access to the M1 when travelling. Room was quiet although close to the motorway.
modern hotel spotlessly clean helpful friendly staff great access to M1 plenty of interesting places to visit in the nearby area.
we where greated by a bright joung lady and mad very welcome,a quick check in.room was very clean a moden with a wetroom lovely.
The hotel was convenient for out trip and was clean. The meal deal (2
course evening meal, drink and breakfast) is good value.
The hotel was well located for the purpose of my visit and easy to find.
The facilities were good and the room clean and tidy.
Good for one night, comfortable but basic. Just of motorway, quick check in & quick check out. Breakfast was good.
clean comfortable staff friendly
rooms/bathrooms well laid out & v. comfortable bed.
very competitively priced.
Excellent accommodation at an affordable price. The staff were welcoming and efficient and the room was spotless.
Very pleasant staff, did a good job ordered taxis etc. Handy for uni.
Room a good size well set out and spotless.
The manager/bar attendant was brilliant(nights). He gave us some quality time and told us about the area. Thanks.
Excellent staff, pleasant and helpful. Comfortable room, good sound proofing from nearby motorway. Good rates.
The TV had only limited channels and wifi was not available in the room.
My only complaint was that there was no hot food available until 7.30
pm. I had made a long journey with an elderly disabled person who was
tired, wanted to eat and relax. To be fair though I think it was bad
timing as a coach booking arrived the same day and they were being
fed at 6.30.
I am a fussy and critical person but found nothing at fault here.
The towels are best suited for hand drying
Far too small to dry after a shower. The idea of a budget wet room makes the showering experience difficult and has water all over the floor even with caution.
We had a room next to a private room, throughout the night there
was a buzzing noise. It went for a period of time and then stopped,
then shortly after started again. This was the only issue I had
with the stay.
It was all good!.
having to leave and come back to our real world cant wait to be able to go there again.
There was nothing I did not like.
It didn't matter to me but the quality of the picture on the tv wasn't good.
The pillows were too high for my partner. And I would have liked to see
a few more big towels as there was only 1 big one and the rest were
small. Also it would have been nice to see soap, shampoo, toothbrushes
etc in the room already, rather than having a note saying to pone
reception for them. But whatever my dislikes I think that it was
excellent value for money and I can't complain!.
I can honestly say there was nothing I did not like.
I prefer a carpeted floor.
There was a missing grouting surrounding one of the tiles in the floor of the wet room which is a health hazard.
The outside of the bathroom door was damaged and poorly repaired - it did not affect the function of the door but from an aesthetic viewpoint it let down the quality of the product being sold to me.
The TV system could be improved to give full freeview access.
Electrical fuse in fuse box in corridor going in early morning which resulted in no power to the room - but this was quicky repaired.
Nothing. Everything was of a good standard.
On this trip wifi not working but when it is it is also available in the
room. Unfortunately the speed of service from the wifi can be very slow
so improve on the and the hotel would be perfect.
Slight noise from the motorway but not enough to disturb sleep and an inevitable consequence of being close to the M1.
Bathroom could do with a deeper clean also check if bathroom dispensers are working and firmly attached/seated.
N/a.
Noise from the roof. Uncleared snow in the car park.
On my review of my last stay I reported that the bedside light in room 216 looked unsafe as it was wrapped up in insulating tape. I stayed in the same room again and the light was in the same poor condition even though I had been told that the maintenance team would replace it.
the bed was too low and seemed like it came from a second hand shop, not comfortable.
Internet did'nt really work so had to use my phone could do with looking into. A fan in the room as standard would have been nice. Even if a small hire charge was added. Apart from that really nice stay.
Nothing at all.
Nothing comes to mind.
The holders that all the soap dispensers are in often make the soap dispenser difficult to use or at times completely unusable, I have found this to be the case on a few occasions.
No free-view, only the 5 channels.
Room very warm in late september so would not have liked to be there in summer. Too noisy to have window open. Asked for a blanket instead of duvet but they dont have blankets.
No Wi-Fi which was stated online so I could not do my work.
signal on phone was only 1 bar also ? Wi-Fi imperative to reach the 3rd floor.
TV is a tiny 20 inch with very minimal freeview channels which never even had a HDMI port to play my movies through my dvd player ?
Suggest making all TV's a minimal of 32 inch.
Bed was a bit uncomfortable. No free Wi Fi. Soap dispensers were
useless. Variable temperature and pressure in shower.
Reception seems to be unmanned for quite long periods, or short-staffed. At other times lots of staff! Could do with some proper resourcing research - busiest times, more staff?.
Laminate floor in room gave a stark feel to the decor.
the only thing I found a little problum was the sink and toilet a little high for me as I am only 5ft tall.
We ate in the "Hub" but the service was slow. When the food
did arrive the order was wrong so we had to wait longer until this
arrived. The waiter apologised for the delay/error but I thought
that he should have offered us a free drink while we waited.
I ordered my evening meal in the hotel restaurant but the starter took
40 mins to arrive (other people had arrived after me and had been fed).
I told the waiter that I had not received any food, for which he
apologised. He checked with the kitchen and discovered that my order had
been entered as room service (even though I was sitting in the
restaurant). My food arrived a little while later and the waiter did
give me a free drink because I had waited for so long.
cant think of anything.
Actual position if I'd been staying for pleasure as between rail
line and two main roads. In winter no problem as the window was shut. I
found the bed very hard but am aware others would have liked it no
internet connection in room although receptionist reset hub twice.
