We thought the hotel was very clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. The bar food was vey reasonably priced, and although The Grill restaurant is a little pricey, you do get what you pay for, good food and good service. I also thought the checkin and checkout times were very good.It was relatives of mine that stayed at your hotel. They passed on their comments to me and said their stay at the hotel was first class. They are not from the region and couldn't have enjoyed their stay any more than they did.

This will be the first time that we have ever written to explain to a hotel how disappointed we were and to list all of the things wrong e.g. a shower that did not work, the shaver plugs did not work and so on.reception staff very accommodating with securing luggage prior to check in. Breakfast very filling.Smoking room. The restaurant food (dinner) was rather disappointing and, I felt, over-priced for what it was. The breakfast was good without being stunning - there was a good selection, though.there was no business center. A wedding party with noisy children were staying at the hotel and the service in the hotel restaurant "The Grill" was relatively poor as the staff seemed to focus too much on the tables with fuller parties.No fried or poached eggs for breakfast - only scrambled. bedroom was far to hot and made the stay uncomfortable due to no AC. Walls of bedroom were paper thin. Could hear every word neighbours were saying. Couldn't get any cold water out of bathroom tap.no airconditioning, weak shower.The food we ate was fairly awful - chips were overcooked/reheated and as we wanted burgers without cheese they came in a dry bun - no salad, relish etc. generally a much lower standard than expected from a hotel of this quality.Breakfast poor - food kept warm and staff unhelpful. Towels extremely poor - thin and grey. No record kept of taxi booking made by hotel. Asked for quiet room and was located next to lift.the food was cooked poorly particularly the veg. Our first night in the restaurant was very disappointing. General cleanliness O.K. but a lot of dust around the edge of carpets particularly near the beds. Food and service were very poor.Noisy neighbours (thin walls?) and very bad smell in corridor. no air conditioning in room. There were a few things. It was clean, but in no way does it live up to a four star rating. We have extensive experience as I hold a gold card for Hilton hotels, a gold card for Marriott hotels and we stay approx. 25 nights per year in hotel rooms in this country and abroad e.g. USA and Asia. We are therefore in a good position to judge. Brooklands was poor.only given one set of towels, second set took far to long to arrive following two phone calls with request. Broken light in bathroom not fixed. Mattress on bed a little old and very soft.Sheets were rough which made it not very pleasant to sleep, and the bedding in general was not the cleanest or most comfortable.
