A family hotel whose staff were amazingly helpful and attentive - even swapping us to a ground-floor room (due to a broken ankle) without needing to be asked and despite its being a family room rather than the twin we had booked! Delicious breakfast, with generous variety (both continental and cooked). Superb location for the universities - just across the road. Right on bus route for shopping or bus/coach/train stations. Friendly staff on arrival, at breakfast and on exit. Only stayed here as Leeds city centre was fully booked and were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was! Only 5 mins from the train station and centre of town. Spotlessly clean, everything available for breakfast even though we were one of the last to arrive the dining room. Overall, great place and would definitely stay again.

The welcome was great and the receptionist was very helpful, giving us a map, showing directions and telling us about 'extras', such as the Christmas market.
