  Dont judge the hotel from the outside which looks tired and dated once inside you are in for a pleasant suprise. The foyer and reception area are bright and modern and the staff pleasant and helpfull. Our rooms were spotless and well equipped. All in all a great hotel and excellent value for money. Hotel close enough to town centre to walk(it took about 20 mins).Rooms all non smoking.Our first time at Thistle Hotel and will book in on our next visit to Inverness.

  I was traveling with my 5 years daughter, but when I booked the bed on line I only booked one bed and thought that when I was there I could book for my daughter. The staff arranged a private room for us which was very thoughtful and nice. There was another elder couple, they booked beds but the staff arranged a private room for them for 5 pounds m... what people say » ore as well, it's really nice. People who are mature travelers or traveling with young children need more attentions and help, and Inverness Hostel se - We did not stay long, but the staff person there was extremely helpful. We arrived at 1 in the morning, and were easily able to get into our room. He also accommodated our need for an early breakfast the following morning, and he gave us a map with walking directions to the train station. Our room was spartan, as all youth hostel rooms are, but it was clean and comfortable. And the price, 22 pounds per person per night, could not be beat.
