What a lovely place with very friendly people running it. Just far enough outside Aberystwyth to be peaceful, yet close enough to get a pizza delivered (and local calls are free from the phone in the kitchen). A fine continental breakfast with truly excellent coffee was provided. We will undoubtedly stay there again. Very highly recommended. Very close to the Penglais campus. Very relaxed - key was pinned to the door. We could have used the kitchen and lounge if we wanted. Good continental breakfast - a pleasant stay. Very good price and it was nice to be trusted with the place! I would book again.

Comfortable bed,clean house,very good value breakfast laid out,in airy room by our lovely manager!. Nice welcome, lovely place, no television in the room, something I highly appreciate, and sauna, what a luxury. Good books , no rubbish. That counts basically for everything.If I go next time to Aberystwyth I will definitely try to stay in the same place. Very accommodating staff who sourced an additional bed for the family room and were in contact with me to ensure I got access as I arrived late. Nice lounge/music room that was available to residents as was the kitchen. Staff were so lovely. The most welcoming I've come across. The B&B is set in gorgeous location. Rooms are decorated to a decent standard. Loved the fact the coffee was filtered. Spa was a great touch. The quiet country position, cheery vibe and cleanliness. A lovely home-cooked breakfast with nice quality details such as freshly squeezed juice and a good range of condiments. excellant stay and the sauna was a real treat ,the host and brekfast where fantastic ,when we in aber again thats where were going 10/10. The woman who welcomed us was so polite and helpful breakfast was delicious and we couldn't of asked for a better place to stay in. the peace and the hospitality given to my family and I by the girl who met us on arrival was so nice and made us feel so welcome.We really enjoyed our stay, great hospitality, great food in a brilliant setting. It wasn't the easiest place to find and is a bit isolated. For us it was fine as we know Aber well. Could do with another toilet or two and a washbasin in room,especially the family room,but realise the plumbing would be a problem! Parking was difficult with my larger vehicle but that was due to the streets not you!. It was a bit cold when we arrived, and takes a while before it gets warmer, because of the window at the back. Suggestion: to turn heater on a little bit before hand. This is the only thing to mention.With Google it was good to find, but a sign on the road side would be helpful for people. Floorboards are a bit creaky so it is difficult not to disturb fellow residents. My mattress had broken springs. Walls weren't good at stopping noise. A pipe in the Superior Double room made a lot of noise when guests went to the toilet. Parking is limited. Had a fair bit of trouble trying to find the B&B. Definitely need a Tv in the bedrooms. The mattress could have been a bit firmer, and the doors needed some WD40 as quite squeaky. the only down side was the drive into the guest house, as my car is large I found it a bit difficult to get in and out of the drive. Lack of direction signs, without a GPS it wiould have been difficult. When arriving at the guest house the driveway/entrance left a lot to be desired. This didn't affect our stay. Curtains very poor. We stayed Friday to Monday and had no room service. ...Ie clean cups or bin emptied or beds made. Was a little hard to find, especially if you don't know the area (I do so was lucky). Not well signposted. I have a bad back and the mattress was terrible. small room, no en suite. A little far from town unless you have a car. Bathroom not en suite and room very sparsely furnished. It was very difficult to find. Proper directions should have been given. There was only one mirror which was too high to be useful. There was no mirror over the washbasin. The washbasin was quite small. Half of the roof of the room we stayed in was glass without any means of covering it so that in the morning from sunrise on, it was too light to sleep properly. Shower room locked by other guests staying next to bathroom which then mean't all 3 of us couldn't shower until they woke up. They were also late for breakfast even though we had to move our breakfast timing to allow them theirs. Also had one of the guests walk in on me in the bathroom as the locks didn't work from inside the shower room area. shower down stairs. Poor directions/signage to indicate the house- Sign was on the ground- not visible from a car. junk in the back yard-No hot water to take a bath.Surly, almost rude housekeeper. Out of date cheese served at breakfast and on the turn ham, Gone off fruit.Over priced for the service and utilities provided. Will NOT be using this guest house again. shared bathroom.
