    The old city of Mardin ended up being one of the best places we visited in Turkey and the hotel likewise one of the best we stayed in. It is ideally located both to explore Mardin and for its views over the Mesopotamian plain below. We stayed in a deluxe double room, 207 and it was terrific. The large showerhead and spacio - The hotel is situated in Mardin town centre. From several rooms, terraces and the breakfast room there are great views over Mesopotamia. Rooms are spacious, very clean, good bath rooms, heating, TV, WiFi and some have a balcony. The breakfast buffet was very good. Staff was helpfull and could speak English or German. The hotel offers a car with an experienced driver for 60 Euros a day plus fuel and lunch for the driver. We strongly recommed to use this service as it is difficult for foreigners

    I liked everything. The guesthouse has fantastic location, fabulous inner garden with beautiful design. Very safe environment. Staff members are excellent people, you cannot expect better treatment. They are such a nice people, open, warm, friendly, interesting, very helpful. Moreover, guesthouse support - I chose this guesthouse because of the beautiful flowers in the photos and the fact that it is connected to a women's cooperative. I couldn't have made a better choice. I was in Mardin to consider the possibility of pursuing dissertation research related to the local linguistic situation. The owners and staff of the guesthouse were so incredibly helpful in connecting me to people, that I can't imagine the difference had I not stayed there.     The wonderfully quiet and spacious room with its authentic wooden built in cupboards and drawers as well as the window shutters lining the walls.     The staff were excellent. The owner was gracious, friendly, and informative. Yusef, the driver/guide for guesthouse tours and local trips was wonderful. He was friendly, funny, and a font of information in various languages. I usually avoid guided tours like the plague, but I would suggest considering theirs.
