Had a stopover in Bangkok for 8 hours in the middle of the night so we decided to stay at a nearby hotel to rest. We were picked up from the airport (rates are reasonable and the transfer back to the airport is included in the room) and brought to this oasis. Never did we expect that we would find resort-type facilities! Although we got in past midnight, the staff was alert and checked us in quickly. all reviews » Upon arrival the were very professional and the hotel looked impressive. We were using the hotel as an over night stay for the nearby airport, the free shuttle bus was very much appreciated at 7am! As we did not stay for longer we were unable to explore the hotel facilities (hence the "good" selection). Although the room was a little aged it was clean, large, and very good value. I would definitely recommend the hotel as a stop over location for the nearby airport. The pool and grounds were lovely. Our family room was perfect, with a second bedroom (with a TV) for our two children, a small bar fridge, and kettle in the room. One English-language movie channel was a nice surprise. The close proximity to the airport (about a 10 min. shuttle ride) was great for our 5 a.m. flight, but the hotel was still quiet for sleeping. Great location, only a short taxi ride from the airport. Very quiet location. Staff friendly and helpful. Easy checking in and staff arranged shuttle for next morning to the airport, cost 200 baht. We ate in the restaurant that evening and the food was very good and reasonably priced. Would recommend to anyone who needs a stopover near to the airport. The room was very nice. Paragon Inn is a Motel, good for travelling with car. Thai-food and the swimming pool are very good. The staff is very friendly. Eating out is always outdoor. In the evening every table has a lotion against mosqitos for free! I've never seen such a service and it really works. The coordinates of the Motel are wrong, to go by car one had to enter Soi 22 and to drive to the end of the Soi!. The staff on our first stay were helpful and accommodating, but on our subsequent stay, different staff members were on the main desk and gave us a smaller room than we had booked. We had to ask twice before we were given the correct room. Once we had the right room, it was all fine but we were a bit disappointed as our first stay there had been so positive. Staff starts working at 6am and you will notice ( read , tiny walls and especially when located close to kitchen area ). Convenient for airport but far from town and facilities/restaurants. The food is passable but felt reheated and was quite expensive. It is not easy to wander out from the hotel into the local area. Workers start working early close to the rooms. no air conditioned lobby area. price of the food too high. The bed was too soft and on wheels, so it moved around the room every time you stood up or laid down. I have allergy to dirty air cons so I checked and cleaned the filter of the air-con which was full of dirt showing it had not been cleaned for long time. Chairs around pool need refurbishing. Nothing of interest outside hotel. Nothing nearby ie shops. Staff not brilliant and have poor english skills. Limited food options for dinner/breakfast. Most of the staff are not friendly and bad in guest handling. It's in the middle of a slum-like area, so make sure to take a taxi if you plan to venture outside after dark. The entrance of the hotel is not good as at night you cant walk lot of street dogs and debris the staff cannot speak english except mr karn who is available only in week days and in day shift. Beds (double bed) was really hard, area looks a bit suspicious.
