The staff was super friendly. Not all of them spoke a lot of English, but it was always enough to get things done. The resort is ran by Muslims, so you cannot buy any beer or cocktails, but the shakes and virgin cocktails they offer are great. You can also pick up some beer from the neighboring restaurant or nearby minimart. The location was great. It is on the northern end of Phra Ae / Long Beach with lots of eating options nearby. You can get a Tuk Tuk to Saladan for 100 baht (2 persons) wher.
all reviews » We absolutely loved Sayang Beach Resort. It was so relaxing, everything you need is on site and right in front of the beach. The beachside restaurant and lounge chairs are fantastic. The food is amazing - try the butter chicken curry - it was one of the best curries I've ever had. Our little bungalow was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I would stay here again as it was just so peaceful! One problem we had was that they didn't actually have our booking... so I would be wary of booking t. Beautiful bungalow near great bars/restaurants on a fantastic beach. Long beach is about 2-3 km, nice sand and water gets deep close to shore and well protected. Can hire motor bikes from resort but not push bikes. The Country Bar is very cool with brilliant fire dancing every night. The resort restaurant located on the beach is great. Try the Indian food. Great place to chill and very family friendly. The location of the hotel was excellent, situated on a beautiful beach. There were plenty of beach front restaurants within a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Excellent buffet breakfast and very friendly staff. Only a five minute drive to a very interesting night market. Just a small minus: no beer or other alcohol was sold at the hotel alrea. Limited catering for diverse needs / taste; it is a 'dry' resort, couldn't get a cold beer when I checked in after a hot 6 hour journey. More than a 'tad' overpriced as mentioned in another review. We found a similar standard resort for half the price not far up the beach. Hotel is overpriced. Rooms are very old, noisy and uncomfortable. There are no safe deposits in the room, territory is dark on the evening.
