Everything! The owners and staff are so lovely, they treat you like guests to their own home rather than their business, and they can never do enough with you - including arranging reliable transport into the city centre and negotiating a better rate for car rental for us. If you want to relax, but be within a very short and cheap drive to the city centre, stay here! The bar/restaurant (amazing food by the way!), is really peaceful with beautiful views right next to the river and with the mount.

Felt so peaceful and relaxing being just by the river but only a v short tuk tuk ride to the city and everything you need. Everyone at the guest house were really nice, helpful. The food was good. Rooms were basic yet comfortable. Truly enjoyed our stay, they made us chuckle and will definitely stay there again. Location was excellent and very helpful staff. Somehow this location felt close to the center of chiang mai and still when sitting by ping riwer in the evening it felt peaceful and remote. Loved the laid-back casual atmosphere. Staff are attentive friendly and make you feel at home. In fact Hollanda Montri felt like home away from home. Sewat is a gem. The staff are all lovely and really helpful. They booked us a wonderful mahout for a day trip which was faultless. great value and location -- very good staff very helpfull good food -- i have already recommended this to others. Very helpful staff, good location by the river, 15min walk from old town. Nice breakfast at reasonable prices. the staff were friendly and helpful, the bar area was nice by the river, free bike use is a nice touch. top class accommodation with good service. the live band next door was also good. -15 mins walk to night market, 20 to old city - Very friendly, helpful staff. Nice to be right on the river. sitting outside and look on the river!!! drinking bier and relax in a chill out area. The environment. the manger. Friendly & fun staff, nicely situated by the river. No fridge in the room. Ants in room, dripping AC and gnarly dog. Floor around bar/lounge needs attention. Boards rotting and gaps waiting for an accident but still it was in harmony with the place. Bit of a trek to the old town but we enjoyed the walk. It would only be a short drive though. WiFi was a bit inconsistent, water pressure wasn't really strong. the location has a nice setting next to the river but its a long walk 40mins at least to the main tourist spots. - Not reliable internet because the router power connection is loose. - A bit overpriced restaurant. Had some difficulty getting transportation because it is not right in the main part of the city. ANTS in the room. we didnt like the gust house location. its not close to the the main place of the city and you cant take tuktuk from the outside you need to walk 5 minuts to the main road. The room got cleaned only every 3 days, bad wifi, owner not very helpful, bad smell coming out of the toilet pipes.
