I went there with my elderly mother for some relaxation and some walking. My parents had come he for many years, for me it was the first time. I loved every minute of our stay. The room was small but comfortable, the bathroom modern and clean. The staff were nice, friendly, helpful and efficient. The food was very good as well; the breakfast buffet had lots of choices and the 4 course diner was always very well prepared and nicely presented, enough variety yo keep it interesting. Very kind staff, food, location, proximity of nature, bakery with fresh bread and cakes every day. The smell spread around the hallways every day was a delight.
Nice staff, clean, good service, quiet, comfortable, good design.
It would be nice to have a small fridge and a coffee maker in the room.

I did not like the fact that we had to pay 15 Dollars a day for the parking and no one warned us about it until check-out.

Pontresina is located in the highest-altitude valley that branches off from the Upper Engadine. It is a sunny place, protected from the winds, and lies on a slope opening towards the southwest.
Pontresina is a typical Engadine village. It is embedded in dense woods of larch and stone pine trees. Pontresina is 1777 metres to 1860 metres above sea level.
While Pontresina is a trendy and open-minded place, it continues to maintain its tradition and cultural roots. There's a choice of beautiful old Engadine houses, exciting pubs and restaurants, as well as interesting cultural events.

Pontresina is located in the Upper Engadine, in the middle of the triangle formed by Zurich, Milan and Munich. You can easily reach your holiday destination using the the good road networks.
By Public Transport:
You travel as far as Chur with the SBB (Schweizerischen Bundesbahn – Swiss National Railways). From Chur you continue on the fast, modern trains of the RhB (Rhätische Bahn). To make your journey by train more comfortable, make use of the Fly-Rail-Baggage service. The journey from Zürich to Pontresina takes about 3.5 hours.
